Kinda want to tell the world, kinda want to keep it a hidden gem. Local favorite and I see why!! I was surprised to see it was buffet style but after having it at a baby shower we had to have it again! It was delicious and we will definitely be back. The banana pudding is my favorite!

This place was awesome. We got there just after noon and it was packed. You pay as you go in, then head straight to the buffet. Find a seat and the ladies will come get you a drink. You might want to find a seat before getting your food if it’s crowded. By 12:30 tables started emptying out so there wasn’t a problem. Definitely will be a good back.

You know it is serious when the smell hits you before the door fully opens.

Music Man BBQ does not flirt with flavor, it commits. The pulled pork is tender without trying too hard, the ribs hold their own, and the sauce understands balance, bold but not overpowering. This is the kind of place where the smoke ring tells a story.

The portions are generous in that comforting Southern way, no measuring spoons involved. Sides are not an afterthought either, they show up ready to compete.

The atmosphere feels easy, unpretentious, the kind of place where conversation flows and nobody is rushing you out the door. Service is friendly and efficient, which is all you really need when barbecue is this good.

If you leave without a little sauce on your shirt, you did not fully participate.

Five stars, and yes, I will be back.

Staff are amazing! Good folks with great attitudes. The building gives the old country feel and has good vibes. The food was decent. The BBQ had good flavor, the hash and rice were awesome, the mac and cheese did leave something to be desired, and the banana pudding was fresh. I am a fan of tomato based BBQ sauce, and this place is definitely more vinger and pepper. I did try the baked chicken and cabbage both had good flavor. There is nothing wrong with it, just not my favorite. I would recommend it to others.

Buffet style bbq joint. Get on line to get delicious, delicious food. I had the meatloaf, and the chili with white rice. Green beans were delicious too. The desserts according to my husband were delicious.
Must experience this place.
Staff were very nice.

This is some real down home cooking! It is increasingly difficult to find true Southern cooking these days. This place has it down! Buffet style food with different specials based on the day of week. Friday is chicken night, so in addition to pork BBQ, they had broiled and fried chicken. Veggies were particularly good: collards, mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy, soup beans, Mac-n-cheese, sweet potatoes. For dessert they had excellent bread pudding, Oreo pudding & just-right banana pudding. Tea & Coke products to drink. No alcohol here. Single stall clean restrooms. The atmosphere is the one thing I wound improve if I could. The one dining room has high ceilings & a bad echo. It’s very hard to hear anything anyone says. From what I understand they often have live music. I don’t see the acoustics being very good, but I can’t say from experience. Free street parking only.

Decided to stop in, it’s been a while since I last was there. Definitely glad I stopped. Food was as good as I remembered. Had chicken, Cole Slaw and Collard Greens. The greens were tender with chucks to pork, no skimming on anything. Treat yourself to great Southern cuisine.

It’s real good. You should eat here. They have a great variety of everything you’d want.
I was driving though and saw a line of older men waiting for it to open. I turned around and now I’m satisfied. Come hungry, dine in, and get the buffet.

Barbecue buffet, two words that make my stomach sing! As a food/restaurant enthusiast, it hurts me deeply to have to write this review, especially after good friends touted this place as being one of the best barbecue joints around. For starters, the location is accessible enough and the parking is somewhat sufficient. When I got to the door I had high hopes but upon entering my enthusiasm was quickly doused. The color scheme and lighting gave it a very ‘bland’ appearance. As I approached the bar I saw signs of redemption, the classics-pulled pork, red rice, macaroni and cheese. All dishes that if done right are food for your soul but if done wrong can be a dagger in your heart. Unfortunately I experienced the latter… The red rice had little to no meat and it was clearly visible that the ‘red’ that should have been soaked into the rice was instead mixed in giving it a ketchup and white rice appearance, the taste equally lackluster. But I persevered on to the macaroni and cheese which at first glance looked incredible until I started plating it. Baked macaroni and cheese has been a staple of my life for as long as I can remember. The ingredients, the consistency, the texture, all things that have to be done right which in this case left much to be desired as it was in fact macaroni sitting under cheese. Sadly, just as bland as the decor which segues us to the pulled pork. It was very hard for me to accept the fact that it was watery in texture and appearance and that the only difference between the three varieties was sauce that was mixed in haphazardly. It was akin to meat that had been previously frozen, thawed out, and then underheated. To avoid falling further down the rabbit hole suffice to say the rest of the selection, dessert included, falls under the same precipice. On the bright side, the iced tea was some of the best I’ve had out of a restaurant in quite some time. But that does not warrant the price tag. I’m hoping that this was just an isolated incident and that I just had a bad experience. Perhaps I’ll give it another try another day but in this business first impressions mean a lot, so you’ve got to be good every time all the time…

My husband and I had buffet last night. Rice was empty and the pan sides had been scraped. Rice was so dry it would break your teeth. Suppose to be rib night, but at 6:45 they are out of ribs. The bread pudding had been scraped up also. It was cold and mushy. We will not be back. Too bad!!
