This was a solid place for a birthday.
The chefs here don’t do all the tricks you’ll get at chain places like Benihana- there was no onion train or eggs thrown in the air. But our chef Justin was excellent – very good at handling 10 (!!) different orders, showed off his knife tricks and made some really entertaining jokes. (You can watch him set outlet plates on fire lol. He gets fire stars) We had two people at our table celebrating birthdays and he kept that in mind when doling out any extra servings and just made for an overall really nice evening!
I got the filet and it was delicious. Favorite thing of the night. Our chef made sure to ask everyone how they wanted their meat cooked and he got it perfect for me. Good texture, the cut of the meat was fine, and it wasn’t overly seasoned so the steak came though.
The meal started out with miso (I think) and small salad. Both very tasty. The rest of the food was a littttttle bit saucy for my taste but totally fine. The chicken was thighs instead of what I assumed was breasts, which made them flavorful but also made me really full after eating the meal. In addition to the protein we got zucchini and onion, mushrooms and bean sprouts.
I can echo some of the prior sentiments about the cleanliness- the floors probably need to be swept a bit and it’s not quite as clean as other Teppanyaki places I’ve been.

This restaurant is unique. Externally you think that you will be simply enjoying food from another country. The area it is in is fairly urban so it stands out. When you walk in you are struck with how authentic the layout is to the culture. I have rarely seen such a truly authentic setup. The eating experience I did not expect. Austin our cook, was personable and professional. I highly, highly recommend this trip. It is not the cheapest, but it is a good time. Reservations are also a good idea!

Loved sharing a hibachi table with other fun people! It’s a great way to socialize. The chef was so fun and put on a great show. The food turned out pretty salty, and there was 4 mishaps with our seating, but once we finally got sat in the right place we were so glad! The people we met were very fun. This is a great place to try at least once. I was not impressed with the bloody Mary but i’m kind of picky about those.

Echoing other reviews regarding cleanliness, but the food was pretty good. Salad dressing was a little watery as if it’d been thinned out, but soup was to die for. I got musashi special which came with a small glass of okay plum wine. Good and sweet but a bit mediciney. By the end of the glass it grew on me. One thing I loved is the chef was attentive to food sensitivities, cooking the gluten free meal first on it’s own then cooking the rest. Unfortunately that took a lot of time, and our entire experience was over 2 hours. He also cooked veggies separate which took no extra time and allowed people to choose what they wanted – loved that. The rice was great, and made even better by pouring the ginger sauce on top. My steak was delicious, but nothing in comparison to my partners filet mignon. Next time, I’ll definitely get the filet. As for cleanliness, there IS thick grease coating the walls, ceilings, and support beams which is a big fire hazard. Bathrooms are disgusting and need updated as well as deep cleaned. Crevice next to hot grill collects old food and grease, and of course bacteria.

We loved this place! I really appreciated the environment and having hibachi without the chef putting on too much of a show. The atmosphere is great & feels warm and authentic. Prices are great for the amount of food you’re getting. Their sake is also delicious. We’ll be visiting again soon!

Negative stars. When my 3 year old picked up a shard of glass from the floor the staff response: “ok”. The food (everything) has waaaaay too much soy and is way too salty. Chicken was dry. Chef came out after the meal and asked if there was a problem with the food. I gave him feedback and his response was “well you ate all of it”. Asked for a manager and no one ever showed up. Bathrooms were disgusting. Coca-cola was spot on. Melted butter in the bottom of the lobster shell was yum; I could press my lobster into it. Great idea! Everyone at our table was disappointed. We talked about it in the parking lot and it scared a guy away. Go anywhere else if you want a better teppenyaki experience.

Had a great dinner here. Such a fun inviting atmosphere with all walks of life. They make their teriyaki sauce over two days time; it’s the best I’ve ever tried.

No bueno. We loved a Japanese steakhouse when we lived in WA so we were looking for a place like that. This place was recommended to us but it was disappointing. The place was run down, dirty and needs some repairs. They were weird about giving my daughter a plate, then didn’t want to give her silverware until i asked. They did make cute chopsticks with a rubber band around them for my older daughter to try and use. The food was not good. I got the steak, it was not good. Chewy, and not cooked enough. I asked the cook to cook it more but it was still red and very chewy and not good. I will not recommend this place to other nor return.

Our chef was excellent, we had steak, chicken, scallops, and shrimp, and the food was so tender that a baby with 4 teeth ate it.
