Great place, love the decor, the food and the staff. We came for state fastpitch softball tournaments, and love to find new places. Hot outside, cold, frosty mugs inside. I had a spicy chicken salad, husband had patty melt. Mmmmm, will come back next year.

6 of us at work just ordered meals to go from here. A hair in one burger, burger buns soggy, burgers asked to be cooked medium were completely raw in the center, one burger charred on outside, salads slimy and disgusting. Terrible experience. Not going back.

When I asked the waitress what local craft beer
was on tap… and she offered Bud Light and Coors. I should have known it would not be a good meal. Waited 2 hours for food, keeping in mind we had with us 3 children. The appetizers were delivered at the same time as the meal. The steaks were overcooked. As another patron left, he stopped by our table and suggested we try the restaurant again and not judge them too harshly. They usually are timely and get orders correctly about 85% of the time. They were not that busy….it was Monday.
We did ask our waitress for the manager (not the waitress’ fault for kitchen staff issues). Talked to the manager several times. She did adjust prices on the 3 steak dinners. FYI, if you like getting points on credit card, they prefer cash here.

Murphy’s is a bar and grill housed in a historic building in downtown Hastings, Nebraska. They serve burgers, sandwiches and a few other items along with beer. Service is fast and friendly. Reuben sandwiches are tasty.

Terrible food. Cannot believe they served my food the way it came out. Not picky but my ribeye steak was 1/4 inch thick. Ordered med rare and no way they could have cooked it that way, too thin. Garbage, don’t waste your time or money.

Food flavor was good, would of been better had it been warmer. Service was slow even tho it was not very busy (we were done and on the road by 6pm). Waitress seemed to have her head in the clouds.

I got to talking to the GM of Murphy’s after we enjoyed a wonderful meal. She told me about how this business has been family owned for over 50+ years. 3rd generation owned finally decided to expand their store to the sky! They will have the first roof top bar in the tri city area! Going back to the food they get their meat locally at Custom Pack. Makes it extra tasty for the fact it’s always fresh NEVER frozen.
