Was with a party we arrived before 5 pm and it was 6:30 when we got our entrees. Small portions that are expensive $20 dollars for a piece of grilled tuna and a tiny baked potato. Plus $3 dollars for drinks and an additional $7 to add the dismissal salad bar that barely had anything and the lettuce was brown and sad.

Just left the restaurant. Food was delicious as usual. I don’t think they use old grease. The food is always fried great.
Our server tonight, Corinne, was excellent. She didn’t hover but paid us enough attention.

The food was great, but my grilled shrimp salad still had the tails on them. I feel a salad should be able to be eaten without me having to put my fingers in the salad to take off the tails. Waitress was wonderful, food was great. First time customers. Only 3 of us but receipt says 5. 20/21/25 Angie was our server, she was great! Thank you, Lynn Stuckwish

Horrible food, good service, and I consider it a crime to charge for the quality of the food. Crawfish queso was velveeta, rotel and crawfish, $11.
Tuna was dry and looked like it came frozen in a vacuum sealed package and was very low quality, $22. Meatballs also seemed like they were frozen, $17. I drink occasionally and I couldn’t taste a bit of tequila in the margarita, $7. I even asked for another shot to be added. Our server was very kind and attentive. The total for a table of 3 was $100 and some change before tip.
A decade ago, this restaurant was okay. We feel as though we were completely robbed.

Part of our food adventures begin with my family’s knack to find new places to eat. We were feeling seafood, and it came down to two places. They settled on Murphy’s. Not far from my son’s campus, we found our destination. The look of the building reminded me of restaurants from my neck of the woods. The atmosphere inside was nice.
We started with an appetizer, Onion Rings. These massive food Os were plenty and very tasty. I ordered the seafood platter after changing my previous order(4 buck difference) for a little more variety. The wife ordered the eggplant pasta and my son, the shrimp pasta. Both of their plates were massive and came with huge breadsticks.
Quantities were not the issues but taste. With the exception of the onion ring appetizer and the fried eggplant, the food was a little bland. It looked great, and the textures were there but lacked the flavor. My platter was a bit small and lacked once again flavor. Crab cake was overdone. This was not one of my better experiences.

Onion rings are awesome. Crawfish pasta was really good. Shrimp Po boy was okay not bad! Service is always good. Salad bar is a favorite. I do think the prices on the steaks are a little high but some of my family still gets them. They have a little bit of everything on the menu.

We just had an excellent experience at Murphy’s Seafood as we were passing through. The bartender/waitress was absolutely amazing. The salad bar was to die for. I could have only gotten the salad bar, and been completely satisfied. Our fried seafood platter consisted of oysters, catfish, a crab cake, hush puppies, and french fries with excellent, homemade tartar and cocktail sauces. Prices were reasonable. $20 for the entire seafood platter which we split and had plenty left over, and only $4 to add the all-you-can-eat salad bar to an entree. Very pleased with our experience at Murphy’s today.

Great place to Dine, only cons are not every server is trained to give the best experience but overall def worth your money when it comes to the owner, food and atmosphere. This may just be a preference by myself and not the masses but the Shrimp are undercooked by my standards. Overall Great Restaurant

Ordered a cup of shrimp/crab gumbo. After a bite, I could tell that something was off, but wasn’t sure if that’s how it was being that I have never eaten here before. After adding my own seasoning, I realized that it wasn’t the flavor causing the “off” taste because it didn’t go away. I opened the extra container of plain rice (included) to find BLUE grains sitting right on top. That is a telltale sign of bacteria, mold, contamination, etc. in rice. (Thankful that I opened the extra container of rice because I wouldn’t have been able to tell with the rice mixed in the gumbo due to the dark color).
I reached out to Murphys via email the same night (with photos) explaining this & requesting a refund due to $30 going in the trash. After no response, I followed up & still got no response.
