We had a great experience here, came for a late summer Friday fish fry. Arrived at 430, allowed to pick our table with beautiful view of the harbor. Awesome, at a fraction of the price of the famous place across the bay.
Server, Ava K, was very kind and attentive, filled my water three times. Everything was prompt. Elote’ with nachos good. Both the beer battered cod and the broiled cod were excellent, the best we have had in the area. The fried (beer battered) cod was not the least bit greasy. Fries and potato pancakes were good, but no applesauce available for potato pancakes. Coleslaw (choice of creamy or vinaigrette, we chose vinaigrette) tasted freshly made.
I thought price was reasonable ($15 for 2 piece cod, $18 for 3 piece cod) given the multimillion dollar view.

Great place by the lake. Jack (our bartender) was a great host. We ordered a “Wisconsin” Old Fashioned. It’s an experience and a drink to try (sorry no picture). We were also greeted with a Jalapeño infused Tequila, the use of fresh jalapeños was creative and powerful. The jalapeño is felt for a several seconds after drinking it but never a hot burn, give it a try!

One of my worst experiences. We came here for date night on a Friday at 6pm.The waitress was nice but you could tell she had been drinking. We got a couple drinks, never got refills even though we wanted them. We got the nachos, which were alright at best.
My wife got the chicken tacos which were bland.
I got the fish fry which was okay but the food runner dumped half of my fries on the table. I was not happy at this point. Wanted some ranch and more drinks but no waitress. As soon as a huge group came in with no reservation all attention to us came to a halt. They dragged the tables and chairs around directly behind us shaking the floor and disrupting our already distracted date night. Then started bumping into my chair so they could all squeeze in. Then as soon as we got up they grabbed our table for themselves immediately. It’s way too loud in there, we couldn’t hear each other not because of the amount of people but because the music was so loud. 70$ for 2 people is kind of insane for the service and food we got. Seems like this place is geared more towards tourists and bros rather than people who live and grow up here. Disappointing waste of our date night. Called back to give feedback after we left and the person we talked to obviously couldn’t care less. We will not be back. Very unfortunate.

I’ve enjoyed Murphy’s for the past couple of summers. Fantastic Friday fish fry! One of the best on the area. The tacos are great! Quesadillas are fantastic. The service is always friendly! The views are amazing. The atmosphere is perfect.

We’ve been coming to Green Lake for so many years, found this place a couple years ago, great food, even had our wedding rehearsal dinner there in 2022, but the service has always been below average. Every time we go the staff has been very unwelcoming and not very friendly. We go for the great tacos and margaritas hoping the next time we’ll get better service, but never happens. Tonight the owner was running around trying to clean tables and take orders, but the one time she did come to our table was so fast and in a hurry we couldn’t order another margarita if we wanted to. (And I will add it was not on a busy night.) A little more thoughtfulness and, hey how is your food tasting, I own this place, what brings you in, where are you from, those type of questions can go a long way. I hope they work on making guests feel more welcome in the future.

Last time we were here the food was excellent but alas, stopped today at 12:30 and they weren’t open for lunch even though Google and website said they were.
