A laid back dive bar known to locals for over 25 years. Pool tables, poker machines, darts, fooseball, giant connect four and Jenga. Internet juke box, 15 tvs always playing current sports games. 16 beers on tap, and a full bar. Free food on Sundays and a pop up grill almost every weekend with half pound burgers with fries for $12-$15! There is even a small patio with a tv outback. Welcoming to all over 21.

The new bartender seemed a little hesitant to make a bloody Mary, but was saved the trouble when she couldn’t find all the necessary ingredients. Other than that, she (Jasmine?) seemed nice enough, and the atmosphere was calm (there were only a few other people when we walked in, and it was a couple hours before happy hour) and friendly (we knew at least one more person who walked in while we were there).

This place is another of my highly recommended bar that’s located on the westbank on Gretna LA. It has 5 pool tables which 4 of them requires only 75 cent to play a game and 1 that’s pay by the hour which is cheap and within your budget. The drinks are cheaper than any other bar that I’ve been to on the baseball! The staff are very welcoming to all and especially Mr. Justin that’s the manager if this fine establishment, he’s very friendly and a people person indeed! Ask for a shot called Bearinjeuger and your in for a real treat, this shot goes down smooth and tasteful! This is a local bar that is very fun to go and half a drink or two and even play some pool or Foosball that’s located in the corner. I would definitely recommend Murphy’s as a bar that needs to be visited in person!
