Early Sunday dinner. Quiche and Ceasars Salad were wonderful. Spinach Salad and French Onion Soup were incredible. That was the best soup ever. Food was fast, hot and delicious. Waitress amazing. I am coming back here any time I am in this area.

We sat out on the patio. It was a beautiful day for that. The live music was way too loud. We were sitting as far away as possible and could not have a conversation because it was so loud. Others left because of it.

I visited on a sunny Monday and sat at the outdoor patio at a table shaded by an umbrella. I got there a little after noon, and it wasn’t too busy so I was seated right away. The host was welcoming, and the service was excellent. My server was friendly and attentive, and she made sure that my water glass was never empty.

Beautiful restaurant, very quaint. Great customer service, amazing food, great atmosphere. They even have us a free desert because it was our first date night without the kids in a long time!

First visit, not impressed. Visited on Mother’s Day, presented with a limited menu, no substitutions available. Husband had Eggs Benedict, did not like (Hollandaise sause was SOUR). Mother-in-law had lobster tail with mashed potatoes and squash (potatoes were “ok,” does not like squash). I had pasta with Alfredo sauce (watery, no flavor at all, didn’t even cover all of the pasta) and a piece of cold bread. Our server was nice & the restaurant has a nice feel to it, but it’s very over-priced for the serving size and mediocre food. We will not return.

We had a great experience at the Chophouse. The staff was extremely friendly and personable. We ate on the patio where they had live music. It was a lovely experience. The food was amazing, I enjoyed the salmon with an amazing fig sauce, while my husband had the prime rib. We cannot say enough positive things about this experience. We will definitely be back, when we visit Murphy again!

The patio is okay. The tables are weathered and moldy. The atmosphere on the inside is dated and depressing. On a Saturday night, the hostess had on jeans and a very casual plaid button up shirt. The table was sticky and I asked the server to please wipe it down again. She never did. The food is okay but the portions are small. Everything that we were served on our last visit was only lukewarm. I had the crabcakes, which were fine, and the cheese grits, which were creamy and pretty good. Our appetizer pizza was not hot at all! The cheese was not melted and the tomato on it was raw. The flatbread they make it on is sweet and or the sauce is sweet. It was only OK. The smoked Gouda Mac was bland, as were the mixed vegetables. The spring vegetable soup was greasy and overcooked. They have no bread. The fried chicken was good but nothing special. The French dip sandwich was good. The Bloody Mary varies but has been good. Generally, the staff is friendly. Nothing in Murphy is ever going to be outstanding, except Big Nicks. Mediocrity rules here. Sad

What we did eat was very good, the fried green tomatoes were really good except they were very tough, you can’t cut with just a fork, and it’s still difficult with a butter knife, definitely needed a steak knife. The service is decent but timely, my wife and I work in fine dining and the firing of food we’ve experienced was extremely slow, the salads were decent also along with the cocktails and wine….but… Our steaks , even though cooked medium rare came out to us cold, which ruined the flavor we could have enjoyed as we tried to eat them but at the price of $37 a steak, we ordered one each, I would have expected at least better than Texas roadhouse, but TR definitely has better delicious, perfectly cooked and temperature steaks at half the price. With our experience we had considered prior to making reservations that we might want to work there and help bring it up to excellent but I don’t think there’s much help for a Chef that lets expensive steak sit around to get cold, it’s like one of seven deadly sins in a restaurant.

We had a wonderful evening at the Chophouse. Aubrey was our waiter and he was attentive, friendly, understood us and our needs. The food was fresh and well prepared. We sat outside and listened to music while enjoying our meal.
