Nice, cozy place. We were in the restaurant part, visiting from out of town, went in for some lunch and truly enjoyed our experience. Made us feel welcomed, rich menu. Not many vegan options but for the style of the place they offer an incredible verity of other food options.
Everything looked good. I highly recommend it.

Great service from seating down to order. Hanging pretzel just great. Cowboy burger is delicious but a little messy while trying to eat it. Served on Texas toast, it is a great choice. Guinness is a good choice. Definitely coming back.

We stayed at Jack Frost last weekend and went to Murph’s Hideway for dinner 2 nights. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and prepared super fast. There were 6 of us and all of us were very satisfied with our selections. Burgers were delicious, French onion soup was perfect, nachos were a hit for our family. We also tried 2 stews and both were very good. The drinks were good as well. All of us were happy with our meal so we came back to that place the following night too. It was snowstorm but the place was still open and served food. We will be back to Murph’s Hideaway next time we are in the area. Highly recommend this place.

Large party, everyone who ordered shepherds pie had hard plastic bits in their food. Sent it back. It also was tasteless and unseasoned.
Mac and cheese was completely tasteless and unseasoned.
Served beer out of chipped glasses as well. Completely baffling experience.

Also, they couldn’t even split the bill correctly. We have been here for more than three hours going over the bill, explaining that it’s not normal to be charged for a comp meal of beef stew (we were not told the price or given another option).
Manager told us we should have told management sooner and tried to offer us a gift card. Management should have been well aware of the issue the moment three shepards pies came back with plastic in them.
I have never had such a ridiculous experience, the owner should be embarrassed.

My family and I were truly impressed. Everything was delicious, and the service was fast and attentive. The food was outstanding — perfectly seasoned, not over-salted, and free of unnecessary spices. Every dish had its own natural, authentic flavor, which is surprisingly rare to find.

Murphy Hideaway is a place I will be going for the rest of my life!! My husband and I went up every year to the Poconos while we’re dating and engaged and always stopped at Murphy’s for dinner. We always had wonderful service and great food. When we decided we wanted to get married in the poconos I couldn’t have imagined a better place to cater our wedding! Bianca was amazing with communication, helpful, and just awesome! Over the last few months, I was stressing about making sure I had a perfect day but she made it so I never had to worry about catering. Between Bianca, Ashleigh & Noel I had a dream team for food and desserts and everyone at our wedding loved both. They all have marked Murphy’s hideaway down for their future Pocono trips. Even the bear could smell how wonderful the salmon was and crashed the wedding to get some! (Don’t worry we didn’t feed the wildlife)
I just got married this weekend. They helped us set up the day before our wedding and helped clean up the day after. My husband and I are already counting down the days to our anniversary trip a year from now where we go to get Murphy’s Hideaway for dinner and enjoy the fabulous desserts by Sweet & Salty!!

Stopped here on the way from PA. From the outside not very impressive and don’t give off a great first impression. However I was incredibly surprised by the food and service we received. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The drinks were as expected but the food was amazing. I had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked and accompanied by seasoned steamed vegetables it was perfect. This place definitely made my top 100 list.

We visited Murph’s Hideaway for a 12 people family dinner while staying in Poconos in July 2024. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. We liked it so much that in just two days came back with a smaller crew and enjoyed it again 🙂 They also had a good local beer on tap – Broken Heels Hazy IPA. We didn’t catch live music but saw the band setting up.
First time the service was a bit rough and for some reason they couldn’t arrange us a single/combined table though I called in advance and made a reservation for 12 people. Second time our waitress was Carol and we got a great service. All was smooth and nice.
We highly recommend Murph’s Hideaway if you are in the area and looking for an excellent American bar/grill food.
Food ordered
Flat Basket wings – these are tiny but tender and delicious with really little fat. We found them better than regular bigger wings with much more fat.
12 Wings – regular buffalo wings. Tiny flats are better.
Home Made Chili – excellent.
Crock French Onion soup – I didn’t expect much from a French Onion soup ordered in American grill restaurant. But this was surprisingly good!
Key Largo Shrimp – good.
Primavera flat bread – certainly pass on this one. The dough was pretty thick, far from “flat”, and the toppings tasted like canned veggies.
Cheesesteak Quesadilla and Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla – both were absolutely delicious! Fresh, juicy, with generous amount of filling.
Philly Cheesesteak – good as it should be.
Shepherd Pie – this one is restaurant’s special and it was excellent according to few people in our party. I wish I could try it but it had pork which I don’t eat.
Burgers: Hawaiian Burger, Jack Burger, Cajun Bleu Burger – all were absolutely great! Generous 1/2 lbs they were, perfectly done as ordered (I had medium-rare), juicy, sizzling, and overall perfect! I want Murph’s Hideaway’s burger again!

Nice cozy eatery near the arrowhead community. Once we arrived( my wife, daughters and myself) we were immediately seated. The food was surprisingly good but the best experience was our server Kim. She was very helpful, kind, attentive, and friendly. Every item we order was something that she recommended and every item was great. She’s definitely the main reason why we will be returning. If you are in the area stop by for the food and make sure to ask for Kim .

We stopped at Murphy during our vacation time and was so glad we did! Kym was our waitress and she was absolutely phenomenal!! The food was very good decently priced and big portion sizes. Kym explained the menu to us and all the specials and even offered to get the cornhole boards out for our kids to enjoy (us adults too if we chose to)
