We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate a 60th birthday. The food was absolutely spectacular, especially the quality of the seafood from the sea urchin to the whole flathead, blue eye trevally, wild-caught snapper and the line-caught Tasmanian tuna. Every dish was fresh, beautifully prepared and full of flavour. Our server, Jarenne, was knowledgeable, attentive and incredibly accommodating, making us all feel so welcome. Every staff member was friendly and worked seamlessly as a team. Even though we brought in our own Bombe Alaska birthday cake, the team went above and beyond to help light it and turn it into a truly special moment. An exceptional dining experience from start to finish.

I haven’t been to Mures Upper Deck in some time. Plus to be honest theres so many great places to eat in that area . But this has to be in my Top 2 in Hobart . Firstly the service . Greeted quickly and shown to our seat . Luckily we got a nice table as it was our anniversary. But they were incredibly kind . I can not fault the service at all . Every dish explained. Wine recommended. And wished a happy anniversary by all .

The food . My god the food . Some of the absolute best I have had anywhere. All I can say is perfect

The view . Lovely

Im looking forward to returning for a meal time and time again

Lovely place for a slightly fancy dinner in Hobart, everything was as good as you’d expect plus a little bit more. Very pricy as well.
Service was super super warm and helpful and attentive, and it was gorgeous in the restaurant. Hard to get a window seat though – the view is stunning but not many tables had the chance to sit by it.

We came here for our 25th wedding anniversary lunch while visiting Hobart for the weekend, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. A warm welcome and two complimentary glasses of bubbles set the tone perfectly.

We began with the lemon myrtle and kelp oysters alongside the seafood cones — the kelp oysters were so perfectly balanced I tried to find room at the end of lunch to order more, but couldn’t fit a thing in. The prawns and the fish crudo followed, both beautifully fresh and full of flavour. The seafood chowder was rich and comforting, and the seafood pasta was excellent; the mussels were a little small, but the taste was still spot on.

Service was outstanding, with Kendall from Victoria BC especially friendly and helpful.

A perfect lunch for a special occasion. Absolutely will be back next time we’re in Hobart. Highly recommended.

An outstanding experience for local seafood. The seafood is wild caught by the restaurant’s own shop. The presentation is excellent and the service was impeccable. Ketan was particularly good in his recommendations and was able to explain the dishes well. The Bass Strait sea scallops are well worth it and the Blue Trevalla was tasty. Even the local lavender cake hit the spot. Don’t miss trying the local wines on the menu.

A gorgeous few hours were passed here watching the harbour. We only popped in for one drink but ended up staying for dinner.
Truly excellent fish of the day. I’ve forgotten what it was but it tasted delicious. Best fish I’ve had for a year I’d say. My companions enjoyed their food too.
Even though we sat outside we got great service. Great job

A very disappointing experience after being recommended as one of the best seafood restaurants in the area. Many issues which were shared with the restaurant manager:
– had a 5:30 pm window seating reservation but I was initially assigned to the only table which has a wall – once I requested a window – Michael, the front desk host, stated it was a window seat – mind there were hardly any customers in the restaurant … 15 minutes later… I was seated next table with a view
– for a fine restaurant, I was surprised to see that clothe napkins were probably was taken from the wash and crumpled on the table – I would have expected to be pressed
– I ordered: Prosecco to accompany my meal of 3 appetizers to be served one after another but they were all delivered at the same time – I requested for the scallops to be removed till I finish the tiger prawns cocktail and the ceviche
– the ceviche fish was unseasoned this you need to bathe every bite into the sauce to enjoy – not my best ceviche
– the prawns were not properly vein cleaned – some were, some were not
– I decided to forego the rest of the meal
– the manager did approach my table and comp’d my Prosecco after hearing my feedback

Overall a lovely dining experience with great service and beautiful food at Mures Upper Deck. The atmosphere was elegant and perfect for a fine-dining dinner — we tried the seafood and everything was tasty and well-prepared. Plenty of variety and excellent quality seafood.

️ Service was attentive and friendly, making the evening enjoyable. The staff were knowledgeable and accommodating, adding to the overall positive experience.

However, was a bit disappointed not to receive the apple crumble dessert. Also the fish is a bit lack of flavor.

Pros:
The location is fantastic with a beautiful harbour view, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Most of the dishes we ordered were very tasty — the scallops were absolutely amazing!
Cons:
A few dishes were less impressive; for example, the seafood pasta lacked flavour, and at this price point we expected higher quality.
