We went to Muni for the first time and it wont be the last.
The setting is vibrant and trendy with an extremely friendly and helpful staff.
The entire menu looked amazing but we settled on the Rice Bowl and the Kow Soi Beef. Both were unique and delicious.
The Kow soi beef is in a delicious coconut curry sauce and delicious noodles.
The Rice Bowl is loaded with braised pork, pickled onions and a delicious spicy sauce to drizzle over it all.
My wife had the Cock and Bull cocktail and said it was delicious.
This is definitely an asian fusion restaurant that you will want to try.

The birria dumplings were delicious and so was the Tri Thai tacos with braised pork. Although it was lively and had a cozy vibe, the food was a bit overpriced since the portions are small since I paid over $30 for two dishes and left just satisfied, not full. On the bright side, the wait staff were friendly and went out of their way to let me when the food would be out. Overall, it’s worth trying at least once while in KC.

First time trying Muni. A BIG fan of Waldo Thai and Chef Pam. It was very good. Fun cocktails and attentive service. Loved the chorizo Rangoon and crispy chicken wings. Also love the Koa soy beef in the succulent curry sauce, a bit spicy but so good. Enjoy the sun-kissed salmon with green beans of rice. Would have loved it they had other pescatarian options.

I cannot say enough about how much we loved Muni. We visited on a busy Saturday night. The place was buzzing, warm and inviting. Our server was perfectly attentive and made us feel special. The food was exciting and new but also familiar and warm and it was perfect for myself and my teenagers. I would highly recommend the Carne Asada Kow Soi. And I don’t want to leave out the bar staff because my cocktail my was amazing. Our server sent us home with two plant cuttings to propagate that we’ve lovingly named Muni Uno and Muni Dos. Bra

Muni recently debuted a brunch menu, so we decided to check it out on Sunday. I was curious what offerings they would have considering this is a thai-mexican fusion restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised! The chorizo wontons are a must. You have to get an order of their ham, egg and cheese empanadas… the crust was light, flaky and fillings were plentiful. I had the full breakfast. It was huge and executed perfectly, right down to my over-medium eggs. I’m not a big sausage person, but the sausage that came with it was delicious. As for beverages, be sure to try the Muni margarita. Spicy but not overpowering. Service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was fun and trendy. Sitting by the front windows provided a great view of the City Market and downtown KC. We will absolutely be back!

Food was outstanding! I would have given 5* but our service was a bit slow and we had an issue with one of the tacos being a bit burnt. The server said she would ask if the chef would remake it which I thought was odd considering all the beautiful pictures and excellent reviews they have. It was remaid and it was delicious! A little pricey but so unique flavors will definitely have me coming back.

Can’t say enough about Muni! Such a cool spot and vibe. The cocktails are so flavorful and strong in the best way! We got several different apps and then all shared the entrees and the food was all excellent. Spicy, creamy, crunchy, all the best texture and flavors in Thai and Mexican! Amazing place! You must go! The Birra dumplings and Kow Soi are two that I will get again and again!

I went for brunch on a recommendation from another restaurant that knew I loved fusion. I was greeted at the door by Pam, one of the owners, who introduced me to her partner and sat me at the bar. This place is BEAUTIFUL! Exposed brick, lots of natural light and they have it beautifully decorated with real plants as well as art and murals.
I ordered the chorizo Rangoon and the pork belly sando. The Rangoon comes with a sweet & sour sauce, but now sauce is necessary. The chorizo has great flavor and the cream cheese is the right compliment.
The pork belly sando – this is something! Two generous portions of crispy pork belly, a tangy sauce, house brined pickles and a sunny side fried egg on top. It is a mess to eat, but well worth it! Served on the side are breakfast potatoes, smashed fingerlings topped with queso fresco. Delish! Just needed some salt and pepper to finish it off and I really don’t like to season a dish after the chef has prepared it. I looked at some of the other items that my neighbors had and everything looked absolutely fantastic. Large portions, great eye appeal, interesting combinations and fusion of cultures.
My bartender Ben was extremely knowledgeable, personable and friendly. Everyone called me by name with was impressive.
I will most certainly recommend and return!
