The staff is so friendly and the cafe inside is beautiful. The food is fresh, good portion size, delicious and a great value. Easily some of the best hot chocolate I’ve had in decades as a global traveler. The Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast is so good and made me fall in love with French toast again. If you’re looking for an amazing hidden gem in Hermitage, please check out this cafe. Can’t wait to go back and try more items from the menu.

Mumu’s Cafe is the definition of a hidden gem. It’s not parked next to a mall or sitting on some busy strip. It’s tucked away just enough that you almost feel like you stumbled onto a secret.
The place is spotless and the staff is as friendly as they come. This isn’t your standard American brunch. It’s Latin brunch, and it hits different. We ordered a spread: Arepas Rancheras for me, Chicken Bacon Avocado for my wife, and the girls split a cheese quesadilla with fruit. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. You can tell they actually thought about flavor instead of just dumping ingredients on a plate.
At first bite, I thought the food leaned a little bland. Then it hit me. It wasn’t bland at all. It was real. My taste buds have just been conditioned by how salty and over-seasoned food has become everywhere else. Mumu’s doesn’t hide behind salt or gimmicks. They let the natural ingredients do the talking, and the balance shows up after a few bites. By the end, I didn’t just enjoy it, I respected it.
Bottom line: this place is worth the trip. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out.

A truly well-deserved five-star experience from start to finish. The ratings this place receives are absolutely earned. The coffee is exceptional—rich, perfectly brewed, and clearly made with care! And the breakfast is nothing short of phenomenal. Every detail feels intentional. It’s the kind of place you look forward to coming back to, and one I can confidently recommend to anyone who appreciates great food and an outstanding morning experience.

Ended a 5 day trip to Nashville at this location for breakfast and had delicious food.
I got the Rise and Shine sandwich and it was just enough food without being super overwhelming.
The owner was extremely nice and made sure that we loved everything.

The lady working the counter was incredibly nice. The entire building was very clean. The food (we got a breakfast sandwich and French toast) was some of the best in middle TN. Seriously, my only complaint was I wanted more.

Such a cute new coffee shop – so glad to have them in town! I got the iced Cuban caffe latte with vanilla and my husband got a cortado. We also split the morning quesadilla and it was delicious! Very nice inside and very kind people!

This was the best breakfast place I’ve been to in years. The people are so delightful and the food is phenomenal. I got the arepas rancheras and the sweetheart latte and they were both delicious. HIGHLY recommend going here the food is freshly made and just so so good.
