Lovely little place serving delicious south indian food! Good portions and they can adjust the spice level according to your taste! The beef chilliwas my favourite! Having tried the dosa, it definitely has a home-ly vibe!

I never leave bad reviews, but we had an absolutely shocking experience. We booked for a birthday dinner and when we arrived there was no atmosphere or music. Regardless, we ordered and there was a lot of things they didn’t have, even poppadoms. When the food arrived, the pani puri which said on the menu it was filled with potatoes and chickpeas, turned out to be filled fully with Bombay mix, and the outer was stale. The onion bhajis were burnt on the outside and completely undercooked on the inside. It was wet and doughy. After receiving these, we cancelled our order and went somewhere else, although still paid £20 for the two dishes shown which were left uneaten and a drink. Tried to give it a chance but it was extremely disappointing – we went to another Indian two minutes away which was the total opposite and amazing food. Don’t waste your money here. Prices are extortionate, especially at such poor quality. I would rate this 0 if I could.

We stqrted with bhel puri which was descent and for maind we ordered lamb biryani , lamb curry. Both lamb curry and biryani lamb is same.
For veg we ordered egg masala, but they asked us to cancel the order because they dont have boiled egg.
They changed it paneer curry, which was descent.
Also we ordered jeera rice. They served biryani rice. Please dont forget, the customer not dumb or fool.
Parathas are good .
In terms of seating, it was very congested.
Overall it’s a descent restaurant.

We were on a four day tour to Inverness and Mumbai Thistle took care of our food including our daily tea. Restaurent offers halal food which allowed us to taste veriety of their offerings. Food was delicious and their Beef Biriyani was one of the best beef biriyanis I have ever had. Prawn masala was super delicious too and very close to our own Sri Lankan flavours. Mumbai Thistle team is very friendly and helpfull and flexible in making some adjustments to suit our requirements. If you are at Inverness and love Indian food or a person looking for Halal food or a Sri Lankan looking for our Milk tea this is the place!! Indian Music comes as a bonus while enjoying your food!!
