When I went here I ended up coming a bit confused at the style of cuisine but, later after trying it I end up very impressed. This mix of Trinidadian and Soul Food is like a Happy Marriage. The Curry Chicken, Brown Rice, Macaroni, Collard Greens, and Sorrel I had made for a pretty memorable meal for me. I didn’t not expect food like this to come out of a Small Mom and Pop’s Shop. I will definitely be coming here again.

This is some top tier Caribbean food! I enjoyed my meal. I had the the oxtails which were fantastic. Along with rice and peas and collard greens as well as a side of callaloo which was excellent, the candied yams were nice and the portions are very generous. I hope you all continue to thrive and I hope you stay around for a long time. You’ve got really good thing going here

Ordered the corn soup 1/31/2025. Definitely not what I expected for a Trinidad corn soup. The soup had enough pieces of corn but, it was sweet not sure if that was from the carrots or added sugar. The corn soup flavor was missing.

1st west indian restaurant I’ve been to and they greeted me! Green flag #1!
This was my 1st time there & the gentleman took his time to explain the plates & pricing. Green flag #2!
The portions are generous, everyone was so friendly && they weren’t stingy with the gravy! Green flag #3! Run, don’t walk!

I can’t say what the atmosphere or customer service is like, however I ordered from uber eats and was very disappointed. I ordered a plate with 2 proteins, oxtail and turkey wing. I only received 3 oxtails and a half of a turkey wing, the money that I spent was not worth it and very disappointed with the portion amount of food and need to work on seasoning. I was excited to try this place after seeing so many good reviews.

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!
Great experience all around. I brought 5 plates for me and my family members. Not one complaint by anyone. The food was seasoned with love. The portions were generous. The atmosphere was warm, inviting and laid back. I loved❤️ the open concept kitchen (that is a concept that you don’t really find in Caribbean kitchens). Definitely coming back!

I finally made it down here. Five stars across the board!! I am a very picky eater with a lot of food allergies. Everything looked so good, however I stick to my regular white rice n stew chicken. I couldn’t resist the mac n cheese, it’s perfect. You can tell it’s made with real cheese n real cream, not over seasoned. I couldn’t resist a slice of coconut cake, it was moist, made with real frosting not the can. Their pricing is fair considering how much groceries cost. Gone are the days of $10 plates. They have one size I paid $21 worth every dollar. I will definitely be back.

I just attempted to complete my meal but the portions were so generous that I couldn’t. I didn’t even get a chance to take any pictures. I bought 2 meals; stew chicken and curry chicken. I had the curry, my friend had the stew. I also tried some of her plate. This stew chicken taste just like the stew chicken that I get at Alpecos on the avenue when I visit Trinidad. Peas and rice taste fresh. Macaroni pie was better than what I’ve had at other Caribbean restaurants in the city, also taste freshly made. We don’t really have any Afro/creole Trinidadian restaurants here in Boston and I will encourage my people and will absolutely support them. My food was delicious and well worth the price. These are generally the same prices that I pay for food at other Caribbean restaurants such as Haitian and Jamaican. My friend who is Dominican thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. She also hasn’t had much Trinidadian food and she loved everything. Everything I had tastes like it was made at home with love. Seasoned to perfection and not rushed. God bless you all and your establishment. Keep cooking and stay positive! You have 2 new frequent customers and look forward to purchasing food at your establishment again soon.
The thing is, there are people who enjoy Trinidadian culture but have not had the opportunity yet to visit Trinidad. If you have been eating Jamaican food and expect a similar taste, it’s not the same. People may not be used to the authentic and actual flavors. Trinidadian food has a lot of Asian influence as far as the flavors. Middle eastern too, especially as now a lot of middle eastern people are migrating there. You can literally buy lo mein and Chinese style fried chicken anywhere. Even in Tobago. The flavors are not the same as other island and if you have never been to the twin islands you may not be accustomed to the flavors, yet!

The food was impeccable. I drove by that spot multiple times. Not because I was skeptical to try it but just because. I finally tried it and yoooo that good was banging. Mind you, I’m not even the type to give google reviews but after trying it the other day, I have to spread the word. There’s another restaurant right across the street called “down home delivery “ but yo, with this new spot I don’t know how down home can compete. Not saying they’re in competition but still. I’m from New York so ik good foood when I try it, and that food right there is freaking good. No doubt.
