I really liked this place. We ordered veggie spring rolls (4). Pad Thai with prawns and red curry also with prawns and an egg fried rice. The flavour was veeery good! Would come back here / recommend.

The staff was very friendly. The food came out quite quickly. The pad Thai was a generous portion.

We visited Mum Likes Thai Food in Horsey and were extremely disappointed. The Pad Thai was bright red, overwhelmingly sour, buried under a tablespoon of dry chilli flakes, with no spring onions — nothing like authentic Thai. They didn’t even use proper king prawns, only small water prawns, which made the dish feel cheap and unbalanced.

The chicken satay bizarrely had coconut milk poured on top instead of peanut sauce, the squid with garlic was unbearably salty, and the red curry was watery and oversalted. The open kitchen only confirmed our impression that dishes were assembled, not cooked from scratch.

For £73, this was completely unacceptable. On a quiet Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was empty — clearly not a true Thai restaurant. Save your money — we will not be returning and will stick to authentic Thai spots in London where the food is properly prepared, balanced, and worth the price.

Absolutely delicious, the green curry was luscious and the Pad Kaprow was rich and phenomenal. Service was extremely attentive and friendly.

The restaurant is the perfect balance between cosy and sleek, it’s beautifully lit and the staff are very friendly and kind. The food is so fragrant and tasty, a good range available with lots of fish and seafood options. Some of the sour dishes are quite a lot more sour than I’m used to but still have a lovely tanginess which leaves you wanting more!

I recently visited “Mum Likes Thai Food” restaurant on my birthday, and what a wonderful surprise it was! The restaurant is conveniently located just opposite our flat, but it was the excellent hospitality and delicious food that truly made our visit special.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that we felt right at home. The service was top-notch, and the ambiance was cozy and intimate.

But the real star of the show was the food – oh, the food! We were treated to a culinary journey through Thailand, with each dish more flavorful and aromatic than the last. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable.

I’m so glad we decided to try “Mum Likes Thai Food” on my special day. It was a truly memorable experience, and I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine. We’ll definitely be back for more!

Pros:

– Excellent hospitality
– Delicious and authentic Thai food
– Cozy ambiance
– Reasonable prices
– Convenient location

Cons: None!

I highly recommend “Mum Likes Thai Food” to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.

So I’d thought I’d try this branch in B/ green as the one in Leytonstone had poor review.
The prawn tempura was a bit oily which I do not like and very expensive And so was the Pad Thai but was quite nice and you got a large portion which I liked. However not many prawns as I counted 5 in each dish so that’s a bit tight in though but flavour was nice and had a kick
But what was a rip
Off was the prawns crackers for £4.50 for like a small bag ! Definitely not worth it but I will go there and eat as I got a takeaway as want to try something different. Like I say prawn pad Thai was very nice

We’ve been getting Thai food from this place as a takeaway for years, and it’s always consistently good. This time, we decided to eat in the restaurant for a change, and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the interior was actually quite nice too. We went for the starter platter, pad Thai, and green curry, along with two mai tai cocktails. The food was just as good as the takeaway we get. It’s similar to many other Thai restaurants, but the big difference here is consistency – it’s always tasty, on time, and at a good price (though not the cheapest).

Came here for a work event and was skeptical as I have had so many bad experiences in London with Thai food that has been toned down for western pallets, but this one didn’t disappoint. Delicious and authentic Thai food.

The staff were super friendly, helpful and polite. The venue is small but has a very cosy and intimate feel.

Highly recommend
