Visited this restaurant Valentine’s Day weekend and we enjoyed a wonderful brunch. Booking was very easy, we received text reminders and confirmations, and the buffet was full and had a variety of breakfast and lunch options. The additional add on offer for bottomless mimosas was tempting but we did not try. There was a carving station, freshly caught salmon, and numerous desserts also available. It was a great deal, however. The views are incredible and the dining area is bright and open with an overlook to the falls. We were offered a window table with front row views of the falls. Staff were very attentive and welcoming from start to finish. It’s a great spot to visit for dining if you’re stopping by Multnomah.

We had an amazing lunch here after a long, chilly hike. I ordered the tomato soup and bread- and got a whole loaf of fresh baked bread with whipped butter ! The soup was amazing. Restaurant was busy-if you want to eat there is probably best to make a reservation. The wait was 1.5 hours when we got there. The bar was open, had the same menu and a fire, and the bartender was great. The line for parking was also very long so plan ahead. But it’s a gorgeous spot with and amazing food.

The lodge itself is wonderful, from the gift shop to the coffee shop and the restaurant.

If you want to eat in the restaurant, I would recommend reservations. It was so wonderful to sit in the dining area and be able to see the falls through the trees.

The food was quite satisfying as well. My family and I had lunch which was burgers and sandwiches. I very much enjoyed the French Onion Soup and the Ruben sandwich. My family was also pleased with the burgers. We certainly enjoyed the hummus plate as a light appetizer as well. I also felt the price was just right for the portions provided.

If I had to mention one thing, it’s that the servers could come by the table more frequently. On our visit the server came back once to check on our drinks for refills on soda and water.

Top notch eatery in a historic setting. We had lunch before hiking up to the top of the falls. The soup bread bowl and the grilled salmon sandwich were terrific. Creme brulee for dessert topped it off! Great staff, and didn’t have to wait long. Reasonable pricing for lunch items too!

Beautiful setting and atmosphere in the lodge to match an iconic falls. We went on a particularly wet (drenching) day so the cover and fireplace were extra special. The food was pretty good, a little better than I would’ve expected given the location. It won’t blow you away, but don’t shy away if you’re hungry. The kids Mac and cheese was so cheesy we called it “Cheese and Mac and Cheese”

Not sure where the high marks are coming from unless our experience was completely different than all the others! We were there on a cold Thursday so not too busy yet there was a 20-30 minute wait. Perhaps they were short staffed? Upon being seated, we noted there were 3 sections open with 4-5 tables seated in each and 2 wait staff per section. Definitely not the appearance of understaffing. Our server barely made eye contact with us as she ran up to the table, muttered something quickly, ran away, ran back, rushed us through ordering then ran away again. I mean literally, practically running! We noticed all other servers doing the same thing so it’s definitely a management issue. We saw her 3 times during our late lunch and one of those times we had to flag her down. The kitchen staff needs to take note of the dining staff and perhaps hurry things up a bit because the food took forever! We started with the stuffed mushrooms, which were good, nothing great but gluten free so had to try them! The grilled cheese was not really grilled, maybe lightly toasted, the cheese wasn’t even melted! It was grated cheese still in it’s grated form! Then, not sure how pork shank can be dry but it was, thank goodness for the Korean sauce it came with! The lodge is beautiful, warm and cozy but unfortunately the food and service just doesn’t match up.

Overall a good place to see and visit!
We tried coming here on a Saturday around 1 but the parking situation is insane. So we decided to come back on Sunday. We made rsvp for 8am on Sunday, so decided to get there and park around 7:30(just in case).
If you park across the lodge, it’s $10.
There was still so much parking availability so it worked out.
We walked to the falls area to see the beautiful views!!
Around 7:55 we headed back to the lodge for our rsvp. It was buffet style.
We got to sit next to the windows that had beautiful views of the falls!
The food was all decent, they had a lot to choose from, and the wait staff were professional, enough to make sure we were good and provide refills as needed.
Once done, there’s a little staircase that leads to the gift shop, where we bought a few souvenirs.
Once done with the lodge, we went back to enjoy the falls and take plenty of pics!
There’s a trail (by the espresso stand) that will lead you to the bridge. Just follow it up.
Make sure you use the restroom before the little hike.

Around 9:30 it was already pretty packed so my advice is to get there early to enjoy if you don’t want to be over stimulated by all the people!
Once we were done, we grabbed some coffee and hot coco from the Espresso Stand and left.
Definitely worth taking the time and it helps to have patience! It’s overwhelmingly beautiful!

Wonderful place to eat lunch.
Had their signature “Dip in the Falls” (French Dip) sandwich which was one of the best I’ve ever had. Fries were excellent as well.
For an appetizer, definitely get their onion rings. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been here twice now while visiting from out of state, and my companions and I have no complaints. For being the only restaurant in this area, which sees a lot of tourist traffic, I think the prices and quality are very reasonable. Make a reservation beforehand, go for a hike, and come back hungry. Both times I ordered the “Dip in the Falls,” which was better than average, and I really appreciated the selection of local beers and fair local prices.

Our waitress was Stephanie, and she did fantastic! I had the smoked salmon fettuccine, my wife had the rainbow trout entrée, and my daughter had the Mac n’ cheese. We also had an appetizer of sweet potato fries (the sauce that came with it was to die for!). The food was incredible!

The service was very nice. Stephanie was attentive and there wasn’t a single thing wrong with our order.

The atmosphere of the lodge was very soothing, and from where we were sitting we could see the waterfall slightly. It was very calming and comfortable.

We received a military discount, but even without that it would have been an incredible bang for our buck.

We live 3 hours north in Washington, but I know we definitely will be returning sometime in the future. Thanks again!
