I really base places on service food and atmosphere. The service behind the bar was basically not nonexistent. It’s always nice to walk into a place when employees look up with a smile welcoming you into the establishment. We sat at the bar. It was like we weren’t even there took a little while for a bartender to finally come up to us and ask what we wanted. Theres no smiles. The bartenders appeared to be annoyed when asked questions about an item on the menu. Personally, I think if you’re not happy somewhere, you should always go find a new job. The main dish was OK. Definitely overpriced. I don’t mind paying, but just make the dish worth it. I was excited about the green apples and slaw on my tacos. I didn’t see one green apple slice so we asked for a side of green apple slaw and was charged for $4 for something that should’ve already been included in the original price. I won’t go back here. I don’t like feeling like it’s an inconvenience to ask for a drink or when I have a question about the menu

Another adventure with Nana took us down south to Mullets, a spot we’d never been to before ✨
The atmosphere was on point — Christmas lights everywhere, super festive, and the place was packed. Parking was definitely a challenge, but good news: they’ve bought the building across the street, which will soon be opening as a dessert and wine spot (worth the wait already).
The food came out hot, fresh, and delicious. The shrimp were huge, the fish spread was amazing, and everything tasted like it was made to order. Drinks were just okay, and while the market-price grouper was a bit over the limit, the overall experience still hit.
All in all, we’d absolutely go back to try more items — another solid find with Nana.
Here’s to many more hidden gems ✨

Incredible. I’ve been to the St. Pete / Tampa area many times over the years and am now chastising my local friends for never telling me about this place. The smokes wings with the Carolina style house sauce are the best I’ve ever had. The Mai Tai is a truly authentic rum-forward version, not the fruit juice style Hawaiian tourists expect. Fantastic. Came for the grouper, which is outstanding, but will be dreaming about the wings and Mai Tai for years.
I’ll be back. Frequently.

MLE hooked it UP with the food recommendations. Everything was actually INCREDIBLE. Grouper tacos – Bobby Lee style. Hog fish – delicacy of the sea. And the citrus dry rub smoked wings lived up to every ounce of the best in St. Pete hype.
Thank you MLE and Josh!

Mullets Fish Camp
If Key West packed up, got quirky, and moved to St Pete… it would probably open Mullets Fish Camp and never look back.
From the moment you arrive, it’s fun, relaxed, and unapologetically fishy — in the best possible way. The decor is delightfully off-beat, the vibe is pure Gulf Coast cool, and the outdoor dining hits that sweet spot: open-air sunshine or fully covered when the Florida skies decide to throw a wobble.
Now, let’s talk seafood (because priorities):
Gulf shrimp — outrageously fresh, perfectly cooked, and seriously tasty.
Mahi Mahi — flaky, clean, and so fresh it feels like it skipped the ice altogether.
This is the kind of place where the fish is the headline act, the atmosphere keeps things playful, and nobody’s trying too hard — because they don’t need to.
⚠️ Heads-up: no dessert and no coffee.
A bit of a pity, because you’ll absolutely want something sweet (or at least a caffeine curtain call) after a meal that good.
Still — come hungry, come casual, and come ready to smile.
Mullets doesn’t just serve great seafood — it’s got proper character, and plenty of it.

In St Pete for the weekend. This place was recommended by our niece and it did not disappoint. We both had the grouper sandwich which was excellent, along with the black beans and broccoli. Will definitely come back the next time we are in town. It was a pleasure meeting and speaking with the general manager Dore. He and his staff provided excellent service.

C-R-I-S-P-Y Wings; find out what it means to me (and my wife), who both just found out at Mullet’s: (C)lean smoke – this had great wood flavor; (R)endered fat – no rubbery texture; (I)nternal temp – it was perfectly hot; (S)pices divine – this was a spectacular blend of garlic, herbs, and (didn’t see that coming) citrus; (P)arched dry skin that set the table for crunch; and then (Y) not mention the meat that pulled away from the skin nicely and just as it should. We both said it was the best we’ve ever had! I alternated jamming into their dirty Dirte sauce and Blue Cheese dip, both complemented well. Oh, and my wife ordered the Cajun pasta with blackened chicken and thought highly of that, also. (Parking was a little tricky, but) We’ll be back to Mullet’s, a place with soul that we definitely respect!

Very happy with the merman smoked wings. Saucy and crispy. The available house made extra spicy sauce was no joke nice to have on the side. The hoggish dinner Floridaman style (coleslaw on side) was cooked just right and had great fresh texture and depth of flavor with the Floridaman citrus butter.
Out waitress was friendly and really seemed to enjoy her job and was proud of the place and food. What a nice addition to the rustic, clean and genuine Florida outdoor seating.

I made a reservation for the 4 of us not knowing how busy it’d be, didn’t need one for a Tuesday night, good to know. The parking lot was congested so we parked across the street and took a short walk over. We were sat on the “patio” in front of the restaurant but I’d think it was more outdoor dining w/ the fenced in patio in the back which was closed as it was raining. Our server quickly came over to our undecided table, she was patient, friendly and attentive. This was our first time there which we specifically went for the smoked wings, 3 of us had dry rub wings w/ a merman side sauce and another blackened grouper w/ a few beers. I was expecting tender fall off the bone wings especially since they’re smoked daily, instead we got lemon pepper dry rub w/ sides of Carolina yellow bbq ish sauce thankfully for moisture. You honestly would never have known they were smoked, fried at best served w/ homemade ranch which is always a good time and perfect for the Cajun French thicker cut fries. Are they the best wings in the city? Not in my opinion. I would possibly stop in again to try another dish or have a cocktail on the patio.

Tasty and fresh seafood with nice atmosphere and sweet service! Their mermaid sauce signature wings are must-try-food!
We came here for lunch so it’s really chill and not many people. But I am sure the dinner and evening will be a blast with the singer and band.
