This place is the best DFAC on post. The best days to eat (in order) are soul food Thursdays, Taco Tuesdays, and Wok Wednesdays for lunch. Dinner is meh on the best days so not really worth the journey. If you have to eat at the DFAC I’d make it a point to go to this one. Also, their holiday meals are amazing!!

It’s sad that the food in the DFAC on the tiny COB I was on in Afghanistan was better in every way than the food I ate here. Not only that, it seems to be that as long as the food is being cooked by literally anyone but army cooks the food is at a least tolerable. I guess I will continue to not eat at the DFAC and pay twice for food. To the top.

I was on head count detail a few times so I got the chance to work in the back at the cash register. The soldiers in the back usually handle the food well. The only issue is the drive thru should have more options. The overall dfac is nice with many many options from the drinks to the deserts etc…

I would give this facility no stars but there has to be one to post up the review. Imagine with me for a moment, that your employer started taking $350+ a month out of your paycheck to eat at a dining facility regardless if you ate there or not. Now imagine with me for a moment, that the one time this month you do go there, the staff takes 53 min to serve you a single cheese burger with some fries. Due to lines and lack of planning for the dinner rush. Now imagine with me the staff doesn’t refill the chocolate milk or once again didn’t plan for it so you had to go to the fountain machines for a drink. Only to discover that the fountain drinks are all syrup, no matter which of three you go to. Also, no ranch in the condiments today. Couldn’t pull it off with this equipment. These cooks will get a paycheck regardless of the quality of food they put out or the effort they put in. If anyone needs a good example of socialism and what a failed system it is, they need only look to any U.S. Army dining facility. I will not be returning to this dining facility. Don’t waste the time or energy to even go here.

Soldiers that are serving the food seems to hate their MOS. It is definitely noticable in the preparation and serving of the food. The food is definitely edible but don’t expect anything delicious or mouthwatering. The Dfac is a great place to save money. It’s one of the main reasons I go there.

Zero stars. However I disagree with post that says it’s marginally better than an unheated MREs. They are usually warmer than the food at this chow hall; as well have much more flavor. No salt, no real coffee, can get an omelette maybe once a week. You want ham in it? NEVER! I can’t even remember all of the issues I’ve had with this chow hall in the past two weeks.

The area is generally clean, employees keep common high-traffic areas sanitary while also wearing gloves and other food-related PPE.
There is a take out line (however, I have never used it). I believe they pre-make plates then hand them as you approach the take out window. Rather convenient.
Never an issue with parking. Plenty of spots .
Food has been rather decent since I’ve been on drum, though perhaps I will think again on taking any salad from the facility.
