Simply amazing and an authentic experience! So much great fish, stews, salads, calamari and mussels. Amazing owners, great friendly atmosphere and awesome people working there. Definitely take the trip and enjoy! Was here in 2019 and again in 2026. It gets better and better. Price is actually cheap for the amount of fresh caught fish, lobster and other food.

The food was incredible! An all you can eat buffet where they bring a big variety of different fish!! Getting drinks was difficult due to lines but it was packed so it is expected. Would recommend the stop

This is not your state of the art clean cut buffet venue but they tick all the right boxes!
Easy atmosphere and setup against the beautiful west coast seaside backdrop!

So good. Anyone saying otherwise is a grump , stumbling out with my too full stomach and very happy heart.
It is countryside food done exceptionally well for those wanting the real experience of our people and our traditions.
Come hungry and be assured that there will be more food than you can eat.

It was worth driving there. Drove 300km just to have that experience of all u can eat. Thank you team it was more that we expected. The food was alot. The sweet potato was to die for. The corn i hv no say the fish ooooh boy salads amazing. The only thing i ask. Because most of us dont know Afrikaans that your menu be also in English. To the gantle man who said dont drive over 100 there are animals and lower your beam. Thank you. Saw them infront crossing. Keep telling people that. Ohhh yesss the sunset my God.

What a great bucket list experience. A worthwhile visit. Options of grilled and smoked fish, bokkoms, snoek, mussels, homemade bread, and paella, with optional crayfish at an extra cost (and you can eat as much as you can fit in!!) Also nice to visit out of season as it was not as crowded … A proudly South African experience

Every person has a “bucket list” and it usually includes of the world’s wonders, like The Pyramids of Giza or The Great Barrier Reef.

But Muisbosskerm should be part of the list of the world’s great wonders.

The atmosphere is great, it’s not only about the food and the place it’s the vibe. The location is perfect, perfect for a great break away from our busy day to day lives. And the food is divine…

If I could, I would rate this place 20 out of 10.

Come hungry! Food was expertly prepared and the lobster fresh and flavorful. Establishment is spacious and seating is enough and well placed, there are roof covered seats available as well as sea facing. Booking in advance is necessary though. Organizing and placing of meals could be better maintained as meals are all placed simultaneously and unannounced, resulting in guests overeating with the first few courses especially after courses were brought out about 40 minutes after original commencement was due. Otherwise the menu didn’t lack nothing and it’s definitely worth the visit and the money. A must do that I have done that I will do again.
