I recently ordered takeout from this amazing Mexican restaurant, and I have to say—it exceeded all my expectations! The shrimp tacos were absolutely incredible—perfectly cooked, very well seasoned, and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavor. They were easily some of the best I’ve ever had. The rice that came with the meal was phenomenal too—fluffy, flavorful, and a perfect complement to the tacos.
I also tried the bacon-wrapped shrimp, and wow—just wow. They were juicy, crispy on the outside, and incredibly fresh. Every bite was packed with bold, delicious flavor.
Even though I placed a to-go order and didn’t have much interaction with the staff, the pickup process was smooth and efficient. I just walked in, showed my confirmation, and was out the door in seconds. The food was packaged really well, still hot when I got home, and everything looked just like it was advertised—no surprises, just great food.
If you’re thinking about ordering from here, don’t hesitate. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Loved this place. I’m on a super strict vegan diet for health reasons, so I asked if I could just get some avocado and lettuce. The pic attached is what they brought out. Talk about above and beyond! My daughter loved her steamed fish! They brought chips, green salsa, refried beans, and soup to the table for free. And they were super nice and let me practice my Spanish with them!

Today we had the pleasure of trying the cuisine at this restaurant. We had been looking for a place so special and affordable for a while. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a friendly lady (I don’t remember her name) and shown to our table. That’s when our excellent experience began. First of all, it’s worth mentioning that the table was impeccably clean and, surprisingly, it wasn’t sticky or smelled like pine salt or vinegar. And as a bonus, there WAS NOT A FLY in the place (I can hear someone yelling amen to God). Anyone who lives here in Texas knows how hard it is to eat in the summer without flies. Finally, our waiter Daniel arrived (it’s worth mentioning that he is an exemplary employee). Since it was our first time there, I wanted more time to look at the menu and understand the cuisine we would be having there. He was super patient and helpful, helping us understand and choose our meal! It was an incredible experience, we will definitely be back and recommend anyone who is visiting Corpus Christi or who plans to visit to stop by and try it. I have no doubt that you will love it, just like my family and I. Congratulations to everyone, from the kitchen to the cashier!

Waitstaff only speak Spanish, which is normally fine, but they speak super fast and they act like they are inconvenienced when asked to repeat questions. Atmosphere is clean and nice, but it’s super loud in there. Their fresh seafood and Micheladas are the only reason I continue to return. Amazing!!! I could eat their food everyday…in the parking lot tho.
By the way, please start carrying/offering Louisiana hot sauce. I typically bring my own, but I forget 1/2 of the time.

Spacious place and food were excellent along with service. The shrimp stuffed avocados were fresh tasting, and the plate was well served. Many great choices of different seafood plates, beans they serve you are also really good. Highly recommended

The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious! The staff was friendly and inviting. I couldn’t decide what to get so they gave me their recommendations and they did not disappoint! They bring you beans to the table with corn chips and they are delicious! The food was cooked perfectly and the homemade sauce was amazing. I will definitely be going again.

Was there on a Tuesday 5/10 and let me say service was 2/5 stars ⭐️. Guess they are short handed because it took 20 minutes to get some sugar packets. Our appetizer took about 25-30 minutes before it came out and then 10 min later our main entree. Ceviche and fish soup was ok not impressed 2/5 ⭐️, the whole red fish in the garlic flavor was good 4/5. The shrimp cocktail and fried fish pieces were okay 2/5. Overall I’d say it’s definitely better than the Jaivita and el rinconsito. Hands down I still choose El bucanero in SA, still haven’t found a place in corpus like El bucanero.

Nice clean place, food is okay but the price does not make it better than any other Mexican restaurant in the area. Locally owed restaurants that are of the same quality and lower prices. Fish was thin and dry.
