I’ve been in Pittsburgh for business for 3 months. I have eaten here 3 times now. It’s absolutely amazing! Some of the best food around. I’ve had the etouffee, and the lobster roll twice. Both are delicious. My wife had the shrimp po boy and loved it, and my sister had the shrimp and grits and said it was delicious. I’ve also had the raw bar sampler, which was very good, the chargrilled oysters, and catfish sticks. I highly recommend all of it. The service is also top notch. They are so friendly! I will miss this place when I go home.

Randomly walked in here for brunch and I’m so glad I did. The shrimp po boy is a magnificent sandwich. The service was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly that even though I was having brunch alone I didn’t feel lonely. My drink was never empty for more than a few seconds. Loved the music and decor also. I’ll be coming back with family for sure.

Our favorite seafood spot in Pittsburgh! The best and most authentic cajun food you’ll find here. The oysters are delicious and quality sourced. Both entrees were full of flavor and the cocktails are well made.

Amazing oyster selection with an even better happy hour for drinks and oysters! Service is great and the relaxed vibe is a nice change from a typical stuffy oyster bar.

What a great time. Lively atmosphere with live jazz, great food, and one of the best dirty martinis in town. The oysters were excellent, as were the ribs, watermelon salad, and fried green tomatoes. Service was super friendly and our server made great recommendations – like he knew exactly what we wanted. I’ll be going back soon and often.

The food was really good. We got gator bites, hush puppies and the shrimp po’ boy, all of which were flavorful and came with delicious sauces. However, we weren’t really checked on and had to flag staff down if we needed something. Not sure if that’s the standard service when sitting at the bar since it seemed tables were getting stopped at and checked upon. But I saw another couple at the bar being checked on.. or maybe they flagged someone down too ‍♀️. We’ll have to go again, maybe this was a one off. Enjoyed the live music and atmosphere.

This used to be one of my favorite places to get Oysters in Pgh. We went in this weekend and had a terrible experience. Oysters are still good but the server truly did not care about our table at all. He had some issues with another larger party which we totally understood but it left us feeling completely neglected. The kitchen was backed up and we only knew because the other servers around us were letting their tables know so we figured it out. It just seems like there’s too many tables jammed together and not enough service to care for it. Likely will not be returning anytime soon .

Muddy Waters doesn’t play around. That shrimp po’boy? Loaded. Shrimp falling out, still stacked. No skimping—just straight Southern generosity.

The Hurricane during happy hour? $6. I added a Gosling’s float on top—smooth, bold, just like it should be.

Seafood gumbo was rich and full of flavor, light on rice (so if you’re a rice-heavy type, ask for more). Oysters? Fresh. Service? On point.

They serve food like they mean it. If you’re in the mood for real Creole with no shortcuts, this is where you go.

Stopped by for Sunday brunch and were seated right away. This place is small so for big parties a reservation would be a good idea. Prices were on the higher end however everything tasted delicious except the burnt ends. Which they were happy to take back. Highly recommend oysters, grits, fried green tomatoes.
