A great cafe for your on the go needs or to just simply hang out and relax.
The Food: I had a “Sweet Vanilla Creme Marsh Mud Cold Brew” and a “Iced Lemon Pound Cake”. The coffee was absolutely delicious! And for the price, it was very fair. The sweet vanilla flavor paired very well with the cold brew and a bite from the lemon cake was fulfilling.
The Service: Service was great! Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our order was done in a timely manner.
The Atmosphere: Very nicely decorated and spacious. A good mount of seating for people to hang out with some cold AC.
Overall, a 5/5! Enjoyed my time here at Muddy Toes. Definitely recommend

I had an excellent reuben sandwich here on a weekend visit to Tangier. The bread, sauerkraut, and meat were all of very high quality and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The café is lively and bright, with a good atmosphere. If you are on a time crunch to catch a boat, do be aware that servive might take a bit of time – but don’t let that stop you from visiting for a meal!

We ducked in here pretty impromptu when someone (me) in our party was getting hangry and I had a chai latte that was so good it might haunt me forever.
The Pint sandwich was also delicious and very filling. The filling was well balanced between the bite of brie, the sweetness of the jam, and the salty savoriness introduced by the bacon. It was grilled perfectly.
Anyway, we also tried a few of the desserts and milkshakes and everything was tasty. The interior is very clean and welcoming and its overall an absolutely lovely little spot!

The cutest little coffee shop on the island! Great stop when you need a little snack or a quick lunch. Great coffee! Great value.
The pastries are a must get! We loved the blueberry scones and the iced lemon pound cake. Both were so tasty! The scones was one of the best I’ve ever had. We even got one to take home!

Muddy Toes Cafe is a resplendent oasis to start, take a break from or end your time on Tangier Island. The cafe ladies are most courteous. The building is refreshingly cool. The food is scrumptious. I enjoyed a cool drink (Sweet Vanilla Creme Cold Brew), a tasty pastry (Lemon Iced Pound Cake) and a filling sandwich (Bacon, Egg & Cheese). Our whole group of 7 was served so swiftly and with great kindness. I love this spot! A definite must-see for your trip to Tangier Island!

For sandwiches, this is the place to go on the island. You’ve got ice cream treats at Four Brothers, Dinner at Lorraine’s and Breakfast / Lunch needs at Muddy Toes 🙂 They carry lunch meat and can make you a pretty decent sub. Perfect to take to go for a beach or kayak picnic!
I stopped in here several times for a coffee and iced cold brew along with a slice of pound cake for breakfast. Decently priced and honestly very good.
Staff are friendly and helpful. We just needed some milk the one day (the grocery store was closed) and they fixed us up with a cup to go — no problem 🙂 and the inside has a decent amount seating and is nicely cooled with AC, which is much needed on a hot day!

Muddy Toes is a gem! The cold brew is SO tasty and the food is great. They have a great menu (tabbouleh was so good!) The ladies behind the counter are so friendly! They even sold us croissants and sliced deli meat so we could make our own sandwiches. 10 stars!
