I will recommend the garlic focaccia, pizza Parma ham, brocolis, pasta carbonara, pasta bolognese and even the expresso!
Next time I will try the Nutella pizza as desert … it was too much for this time
The food was the real star of the evening
Overall, this restaurant combines exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a cozy ambiance. Whether you’re looking for a romantic night out or a relaxed dinner with friends, this is one place you’ll want to return to again and again.
Highly recommended!
My partner booked this restaurant over a month in advance for Valentine’s Day which was at the beginning of January.
We had to give a £25 per person deposit. Despite this, we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated with barely an apology or acknowledgment. I understand it was a busy evening, I have worked in numerous hospitality settings myself, but the level of delay for a pre booked table is unacceptable.
When we were seated, the service didn’t get better. We waited another 10 minutes just to have our drinks and food order to be taken. My meal arrived 45 minutes later, and my partner’s didn’t arrive until a further 20 minutes after that. Being left to sit
with food while my partner had nothing was frustrating and ruined our special evening.
The pricing was insane, it was £19 for some cocktails and more. Which is something you’d expect in places like Soho or Knightsbridge or cocktail bars, not in this low key restaurant.
When we tried to order desserts from one of the waiters (as no one approached us, we had to wave to a member of staff) , he said ‘ I will get my colleague to come over to you’, we waited another 20 minutes, no one came for us. We asked for the bill.
Our bill included a drink we did not order, and no effort had been made to acknowledge or compensate for the extremely poor service. When I asked for the service charge to be removed, I was questioned as to ‘why’, which given the circumstances, was super surprising.
We also noticed multiple other tables are near us had severely long delays to, so it wasn’t us waiting for ages. We could hear numerous couples complaining.
When we were leaving, we thanked the staff and received no response. Not even a “thank you” or “goodnight,” which added to the overall poor impression.
It was a very disappointing evening from start to finish. I do not recommend this place, we’ve had multiple better service in independence pubs in Surrey, that are in the middle of nowhere, that values customers and provides a professional standard of service.
Main courses the sea bream was perfectly cooked, my buffalo pizza was delicious.
Atmosphere was great.
Highly recommended.
