Service is the best you’ll experience. Floor staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful. Great experience. Only note would to encourage someone on the kitchen staff say hello to those sitting at Chefs counter. It was enjoyable watching the chefs working their magic but a little hello would have been a nice touch.
Food had its hits and misses. Lobster bisque was delicious. Full of flavor! Crab appetizer was fresh but a tad bland. Scallops seemed raw. One side was seared, other side was a little cooked. But the flavors were fun and made an incredible bite. Mushroom ravioli was close to perfect. Id recommend shaving the brussel sprouts. Chocolate dessert was really good but I would recommend salted hazelnuts instead of candied.

Went there last night for a date night with my fiancé. We were very pleasantly surprised with everything. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. The food was absolutely amazing, especially the prosciutto was to die for. The service from Leon made everything better and brought the whole night together. We got the Prix Fixe Menu (4 course menue), prosciuttowith fresh mazerella, and assorted oysters. An expensive night, but every cent was worth it, we walked away very far and happy. We look forward to another date night here in the future.

Excellent experience beginning to end.
1. They remembered my note that it we were celebrating my friends promotion with complementary champagne upon arriving and ice cream upon leaving.
2. The staff was incredibly professional and attentive(a rarity in the Portland food service scene).
3. The food was stellar. We got the steak tar tar and two pasta dishes which we split. The came to the table split and nicely plated for each of us individually which was a really nice thing.
The meal is fairly priced for the quality of food and service.

What an amazing experience, great food, delicious Manhattan, tentative service and yummy dessert. I liked every dish that I ordered, the burrata and prosciutto, the scallops, the squid ink seafood pasta and the duc, oh, and the pistachio mousse. Each dish was cooked to the perfect temperature, balance in flavor and served right on time. It’s a yes to come back to explore other dishes on the menu.

The food is so inventive and delicious. We had a pasta with duck confit, fennel, orange peel and candied fennel, it was luck having duck ala orange with pasta. We also had beef rib anglotti with a Gorgonzola cream sauce, walnuts and an apple compote and apple gel. The beef tartare was excellent with pickled mushrooms. The pickling cut through the richness of the meat. Service was excellent and the Somm made great recommendation. Definitely sit at the chef counter if you are a foodie.

As a wine enthusiast, I’d say this place is a must-visit when you’re in Portland (they have a great Italian wine list). Our server was amazing, super knowledgeable and professional. Everything she recommended was so tasty, and it ended up being one of the best parts of our trip. The wine recommendation was perfect and matched both our food and what we like. The woman who greeted us at the door was also super friendly and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable right from the start. We had such a great time here!

Delicious and interesting (but not TOO impetuous to where they’re trying too hard), this restaurant has become one of my favorites in the city after almost 20 years of calling Portland home. The staff are passionate about food and wine and good service. They’ll be happy to make this a truly enjoyable experience. I have never felt rushed even a little bit. They understand dining and good wine and the love shows. I’ll be back (with lots of friends) again and again.

I enjoyed literally NOTHING. The service was rushed, as if it were closing time, even though our reservation was for 7:45 PM. Being told we had to order starters and main courses at the same time was another red flag. The sommelier was speaking at 3x speed, made it impossible to follow or visualize the wines recommended. I came in open minded to try something new, but the overwhelming verbal barrage led me to default to a familiar choice – Gosset. Even that was a letdown, as it wasn’t properly chilled and arrived lukewarm. What’s the point of having so many champagne positions, if at least one from the list isn’t chilled.
The food? Incredibly bland and uninspired. The ingredients sounded promising with interesting combinations, but the execution fell flat. Starters were passable, but the pasta was cooked to a strange level of al dente that just didn’t work.
Overall, this place was a confusing and disappointing experience. With rushed service and underwhelming food, it’s a mystery how this restaurant holds a 4.7 rating.
Oh yeah, and a completely ruined birthday dinner.

Snuck in for a quick dinner alone. If Italian is your “go-to” when you travel – Mucca is a Must! Not only was the staff well versed when it came to everything about each dish, but they also had intricate knowledge of their wines and pairings! The scallops were beautifully presented and properly prepared. I also ordered what I would say is a non-traditional carbonara…it was the mic drop! The tables around me ordered many of the other options on the menu and everything looked amazing and I assume tasted just as good since plates were being cleared completely empty!
