This is a gem of place – the food and service is fantastic. Try the mufungitos!!! The owner is a true owner and operator.
They are quiet during lunch but we loved the experience. At night, they have music and a good nightlife.
Side note – their bathrooms are immaculate.

This was our first time trying MU Restaurant, and it seems like it could be a great hangout spot for dinner, especially with what looked like a setup for live music or a DJ. However, our visit happened on a tough afternoon for the staff. There was only one server, Luis, who worked incredibly hard to manage five full tables, each with four or more people. Despite being short-staffed, Luis did his best to provide attentive service and carry the weight.
The food we ordered tasted good, but we felt the portions were small for the price, which seemed a bit high. Overall, this restaurant might be a better fit for adults looking to enjoy music, drinks, and a social atmosphere rather than a casual family dinner. Hopefully, our experience was just an off night, as the place does have potential.

We recently visited Mu Restaurant and had a mixed experience.
Appetizer: Pork Chicharrones ($15.45) – The pieces were very small, and the portion felt overpriced for what we received.
Main Dishes:
Parrilla Venezolana ($56.65) – The flavor was good, but the portion size did not justify the high price.
Mu Burger ($19.57) – Great taste, but it was not cooked to our request, which required waiting for a replacement. Even then, the burger was quite small.
Dessert:
The Bread Pudding was the highlight of our visit…absolutely delicious and easily the best part of the meal!
The service was excellent; the staff is incredibly kind and attentive. However, the prices felt too high for the portion sizes offered. While the flavors and service were good, the value for money left us disappointed.

I learned about this place on social media. I read a lot a good reviews so I decided to try it. The place is in a gas station which didn’t matter to me as long as the food is good. But unfortunately it didn’t meet up to what I expected. The presentation of the food was nice but the flavor not the best. I had pork chuckling (chicharrón de cerdo) and the mix platter ( parrilla venezolana) for appetizers we had the mofongitos they were good.
Someone in my party also had the burger which she didn’t find to be excellent. When we went to order dessert they only had 1 dessert and it was not the one I wanted so we opted for none. I also ordered some alcoholic drinks one was good the other very bad.

After seeing stellar reviews, we were surprised to arrive and find this restaurant attached to the back side of a gas station. To be honest, we almost left. But I’m glad we stayed because the food was excellent. We were the only people there, initially, in the early afternoon. I ordered a lunch special of chicken and rice, my son got the tuna tacos, and my boyfriend got the burger. We also got a shrimp appetizer, and were brought complementary soup. Everything was very tasty.
Our only complaint was the bill… We were charged $99 for the meal, which we can not figure how we got there when we add up everything we had. It should have been closer to $70, ($20 burger, $15 tacos, $9 lunch special, $15 appetizer, 2 lemonades). Unless the lemonade was $30, we can’t figure out how we got to $99 (pre tip). Unfortunately we were in a hurry and not paying attention, so we didn’t realize it until after we left. I would suggest asking to see an itemized receipt in the future if it seems off.

Really surprising how good a little restaurant attached to a gas station could be!
The burger really was phenomenal! Everything was good, but if you’re like me you might have to watch your blood pressure because some of these dishes were heavy on the salt like the burger and the Arepitas de Pernil.
It was pretty busy today and the service staff was on point. It looks like they really do work as a team. It’s a pretty small space and can get loud easily when they have music playing or a band. I don’t recommend going to have a quiet meal or conversation, it’s just not going to happen.
Overall I do give it a 4/5. I feel like they put a unique spin on traditional Latin dishes and I would definitely like to try more.

The best part of the meal was the salad and I have better burrrata at home. The meat was ok, but just nothing to brag about. Prices are too high for the level of meat they serve. The fries, tostones, and arepitas seem to have been fried in old oil. The servers seem to enjoy being on their phones more than being attentive at their customers but hey, I’m not gonna say it was horrible. The loud music was pretty cool! This place is not my cup of tea. Oh wait, the coolest thing about this place was the men’s restroom. In the pictures you’ll see why! If you like meat, this might not be for you. ♂️

We went with my wife and cousin on weekend. it was really great, food was delicious, for example, Pork Chicharron it’s AMAZING !!! you have to try. We also ordered Parrillada Venezolana and Grilled Shrimp Tacos … just amazing. This place is pretty nice and music is good. I liked that the volume was perfect.

Mu has a lot of potential, but a few things held it back. The atmosphere would’ve been much more enjoyable if the DJ music wasn’t so loud—it felt more like a bar and didn’t quite match the almost fine-dining prices and decor they are going for. The cocktails were promising, but unfortunately, the alcohol overpowered the flavors. The pork chicharron was also disappointing, with a gamey taste that didn’t sit well. On the plus side, the ribeye steak was delicious and perfectly cooked, and the award-winning burger absolutely lived up to the hype. The mofonguitos were another highlight, packed with flavor and really stood out. Overall, it was a decent experience, but with so many other options nearby, we wouldn’t be in a rush to return.

A must visit! The staff was amazing from the moment we walked in and followed through to the end! Valentina was our server, she was so sweet, friendly, respectful, and helpful with helping us choose since it was our first time. Such a cute atmosphere/vibe inside. I’d definitely recommend it for date night, or celebrating a friend’s bday, fun vibes for sure.
