Reviews
I once read a negative review saying it feels more like someone’s home than a restaurant — but honestly, that’s exactly what makes it so special. The owners are incredibly welcoming, the food is consistently outstanding, and the atmosphere is always warm, cozy, and comforting. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why supporting family-owned businesses matters.
A few of our go-to favorites:
– Shrimp Ball – deeeeelicious and dangerously addictive
– Crazy Roll – perfect if you like a little kick. Pure heaven!
– Pink Lady – salmon so buttery it practically melts on contact
– Sashimi Platter – ideal for the indecisive who want it all but will have no regrets with each choice
We’ve tried sushi all over, but Ms. Sushi is something special. It’s not just amazing food—it’s a place that feels like a big, warm bear hug from genuinely wonderful humans. Do yourself a favor and support this family-run gem. You’ll taste the love.
I really dislike leaving bad reviews, but this place earned it.
Ms. Sushi is not a good restaurant. It feels like a takeout-only operation that should not be serving dine-in customers. I should have trusted my first instinct and left when I walked in, but I gave it a chance hoping for a hidden gem. Big mistake.
We ordered three different sushi rolls, and every single one was bad for different reasons. The common problem was the rice, which was honestly awful. It was undercooked, too cold, and had hard spots, either from poor cooking or sitting around far too long. Bad sushi rice ruins everything, and this rice ruined all three rolls.
Spicy salmon roll – the oil used for heat was overpowering and unpleasant.
Kamikaze roll – the fried shrimp had zero flavor beyond fried breading.
Salmon inside-out roll – bad rice again, plus an unripe avocado.
Communication was also an issue. It was very difficult to communicate with the owner/operator, which didn’t help the experience at all.
Bottom line: $60 wasted on three inedible rolls. I will never return. This was a complete waste of time and money, and I strongly suggest others spend their sushi dollars elsewhere.
Ms. Sushi has a lot to fix before it should even consider dine-in service.
I live in PA. Everytime I go to NYC or I’m in the River Edge area, I dine at this Sushi place. Strongly recommended.
Place might be small, but the owners make it feel home. This is definitely one of my favorite places around the different states and countries I’ve been.
Oh yeah… Prices are great too
