I ordered a fresh roll, a banh-mi and a thai tea.
The fresh rolls were good, but I felt the sandwich to be too dry, but it tasted okay, nothing great.
The service is the one that caught my eye though. They never offered me any cutlery and not even a napkin.
One of the waiters kept chatting with the other customer all throughout, and the rest were busy in their booth chatting with each other.
Eventually I had to go and fet my own napkins from the counter. No one seemed to be bothered by that.
I silently finished my meal and walked to the counter to pay the check.
The broth was quite salty, and the sliced beef was served separately like a shabu-shabu style, which made the flavors feel disconnected.
Although it was served in a hot stone bowl, the soup cooled down much faster than I expected.
The biggest disappointment was the timing — my pho came out after everyone else at the table had almost finished their meals, which really took away my appetite.
The staff was friendly, but the overall dining experience, especially the serving timing and flavor balance, definitely needs improvement.
Orange chicken and pork rice dish have good flavors 7/10.
The restaurant looks bright, nice, and clean like a home kitchen with marbles countertops to dine in. But we visited on a busy weekend lunch, so the wait time for food was pretty long.
Overall I have a decent dining experience, but I’m not sure if there’s anything memorable enough for me to want to come back.
The restaurant is clean, the service is quick and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality.
I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to my friends!
As good as their food is, their service is quite inconsistent. We have never been in prime rush hour and have found that in spite of plenty of restaurant staff around, one has to really grab their attention to get the food order placed or to get the bill. It appears they leave the table alone once the food is delivered. And they seem to have an unpleasant attitude once they show up after you grab their attention. On the other hand, they are fairly prompt to seat you. I hope they will fix their service issues.
Love Ms Saigon Kitchen. I hope their food quality continue to stay stellar and get even better. We will visit again soon.
