Had lunch at Ms. J’s Cafe and Catering Services again today. Catfish was perfectly seasoned and fried. No fishy taste at all. Cole slaw was great. Onion rings were made with sweet onions. No strong onion taste. Excellent. My husband’s hamburger was so thick. Wish I had measured it, and he said it and his French fries were so good. His plate was actually enough for two people. We will be back again. Staff are so nice.

While we were traveling from New Orleans to Nashville, we found this homey place. It is a auntentic south restaurant and food is a sample of it. I ordered a catfish dinner that was perfectly fried with a delicious taste.. It was perfect. The Cole slaw salad was very good too. We also ordered a hamburger that jad a very unique flavour. This is a very good restaurant where it is worth the stop… 100% recommended!!!

Just a couple minutes off I-20, I-59 interstate, what a hidden jewel of a tiny restaurant! Mrs J runs the place by herself with country culinary talent and love ❤️! Huge burgers, and oh the delicious catfish and sides. Mac n cheese, collard greens, fried okra, wow everything we tried was great! In this hurry up world go thru a drive thru, but if you want to slow down and appreciate great food and great people then do yourself a favor and stop in at Mrs J’s. I wish I could give her 10 !!!

We were just passing thru, hungry, looking for somewhere to eat & found Ms. J’s on Google. We found it to be a very tidy, quiet little kitchen with just a few tables for dining in. We ordered the lunch special which was fried catfish with a variety of sides to choose from. The fish & hush puppies was cooked to order (perfection)& the seasoning & crispiness was right on point. The collards tasted fresh & the homemade mac & cheese would melt in your mouth. And the homemade peach cobbler was divine. Even the sweet tea was perfection. We just happened upon this jewel today but you better believe it is now marked on the GPS & will be a must everyone we come thru. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. But you better be hungry because your plate will be piled high with pure deliciousness! 10/10 recommend!

This is not the type of sit-down restaurant where the waitress comes to your table. More of a take-out style where you go to the counter to order your food and wait for your order to get called out.
Space is very limited in there. There are about 4 booths that you could sit and eat at but the flies were pretty bad.
We did not like the Catfish bc it had a very fishy taste and it did not sit well with us. The fries were good and well-seasoned. Fried okra and cornbread were tasty. The greens were good but very salty towards the end of eating them.
Meals were ~$15 for 1 entree, 2 sides, and cornbread.

Holy Moly!!!! Please don’t tell any of my friends and family who’ve smoked me ribs, but Ms. J’s ribs are the BEST I’ve EVER HAD. Wow.
The slaw—wow! The okra—YUM! The greens! Yummy!!! Excuse the bone in the pic. I dug in (clearly) before stopping (momentarily) to snap the pic.
Hubby’s burger had thick cooked bacon—wow! Ms. J is so sweet and cooks it all!
Her sweet grands served the food. Idk about you, but I LOVE family businesses, especially amazing ones like this one!
