I pass through this area a couple of times a year and have wanted to eat here for a few years. Well, I finally managed to have that happen. I was staying at the nearby Sleep Inn and walked a short distance to eat here. I told them this was my first visit there and they explained I could order from the menu or get the buffet, and was offered the opportunity to check out the food options at the buffet. Many menu items to pick from, but decided to go with the buffet. Good choice! Nice salad bar is included with over a dozen items, including potato salad, cole slaw, and several dressings to pick from for the salad. The hot foods section smelled wonderful and was hard to pick what I wanted to start with. They also had a potato soup to enjoy. Restaurant was clean, basic but functional appointments, and almost full of customers when I was there, on a Monday evening. Seems like a lot of the local folks come here too, which is a good sign. If you are staying in the Mt. Hope area, or just passing through, please stop in and enjoy a great meal at a good price.

This place was absolutely amazing. The salad bar had all fresh vegetables and some cold side dishes like broccoli salad, coleslaw and their macaroni salad . I had the grilled salmon which was seasoned very well I also enjoyed the mashed potatoes and gravy. I forgot to take pictures of the food I had ‍♂️. Didn’t think about it until after I was more then halfway through the dish…. Also those dinner roles . Make sure you ask for those as well

Second time here. The best option in the “Amish area” for not only buffet but also full menu! Not one complaint from our group. Always get seated quick even when they are packed. My favorite was the salmon and the chicken

Comfort food at its finest! Great fried chicken, meat loaf, flank steak, handful of sides & a little salad bar. Chicken was juicy & crispy! Iced tea was never empty. Server super friendly & sweet. Visited on a Saturday & got there 5 minutes after they opened. And good thing we did! This place filled up super fast & there was a line behind us. You know it’s good when there’s a line right as they open. A lot bigger dining room than it looks. Will definitely be back again. Worth the drive for the whole experience & for $18 that includes your drink- can’t beat the price! Thanks Mrs Yoders. Will definitely be back again soon!

Food was delicious. I decided to get the buffet which consisted of fried chicken, short ribs and ham. I salad had everything you can think of. On the warm side they had Inn maid noodles, stuffing and mashed potatoes. The bread was warm and buttery. Our waitress was so polite and attentive. It’s definitely worth the drive. And dont forget about the desert. The pie is around 3.95 a piece which is half the price of everywhere else. Coconut cream pie was outstanding!

I really enjoyed my visit to Mrs Yoder’s Kitchen. It was a nice country drive to and from but keep your eyes open for horse and buggies as they are plentiful on the road. They offer a buffet and salad bar or you can choose from the menu. The buffet was smaller than most but quality food with good flavor. The Amish fried chicken is king here. It alone is worth the trip. It was moist and juicy and delicious. Local sourced food is evident. here. The home made mashed potatoes were very good. The corn was creamy and amazing. It tasted similar to creamed corn. I could tell it was farm fresh. The roast beef was tender and tasty. They had a few nice things to offer but you can’t try everything. I only got what I really wanted and it was so good I had seconds. I was going to have a slice of blackberry pie but was full so got it to go. I took home a coconut cream pie. This restaurant is definitely worth the trip.

Mrs. Yoder’s may not be the biggest buffet in the area, but I can say everything on the buffet is good. There is not one item that we tried and did not like. It is by no means a fancy place it looks like your grandma’s house. But in the amish country that’s kind of what you want. It’s simple home cooking at its best. I will say the fried chicken here is leaps and bounds better than other buffets in the area. The place is small and fills up fast, so do not be surprised if there is a wait for a table. It also has a small parking lot out front. This restaurant is by no means meant to attract tourists but more should probably visit it. It is worth trying while in the area. The buffet here is also cheaper than the other buffets nearby.

This is a small buffet in Amish country, New Hope. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the restaurant. I was there with my husband and 2 other couples. I was nervous because, there wasn’t alot of selections on the buffet. We all had the buffet. The food was delicious. The meatloaf was the best I’ve ever had while dining out. The fried chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The food tasted like love. We had dessert. The choices we had were amazing. I had coconut cream pie. The crust was so flakey like a croissant, so good. The chocolate hoho cake was wonderful. The turtle sundae was very different than any other we’ve had. It had a brownie on the bottom. Everything was perfect . I will be back.

Mrs Yoder’s Kitchen has fantastic, hot, fried chicken! Best I’ve ever had. We had the buffet, others in our group had the plentiful salad bar, overall a great meal. The restaurant opens at 11am on a Saturday, the day of our visit, we got there at 11.05 and the parking lot was full and overflow lot filling up. Customers were a mix of Amish and English.

Well, it’s Valentine’s day so no surprise that they were swamped. We waited 50 minutes. All the food looked fresh ( for sure) they were having to change out containers often. The salad was really good & some of my favorites were the roast beef (delicious & tender) and the corn was perfect. A nice place to go for variety & food that is home cooked. Oh yeah, had to buy some of their peanut butter spread – that stuff is sooo, good. Use it on sandwiches or for a fresh fruit dip or I could just eat a dollop off a spoon – so good.
