A quaint and quiet cafe which is just what we wanted on a busy Saturday afternoon! There was room for our pram and a spacious table. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. We chose Welsh Rabbit with Poached Egg, a Carrot and Coriander Soup, tea and a latte. All were very tasty and a fair portion size. Proper tea leaves and fine china cups made a very pleasant change – delicious cuppa! The service was okay and the customers all seemed happy … so this comes Recommended!

Unfortunately after visiting on Wednesday I would not come back. Very rude staff. Asked staff member what on the menu was gluten free as expect from the menu saying it does gluten free scones I had no clue, to be told that it says on menu was spoken to like I was stupid when on there menu it says to ask if you have any allergies and told they do sandwich, baguettes all different gluten free options when the other member of staff came over to take our order I asked for a a cheese and ham panini to be rudely told that they only did gluten free bread. I was not rude at all and my toastie was lovely I just didn’t appreciate being made to feel that I was a pain because I have a gluten allergy

Loved it! Kind and smily ladies serving delicious cakes and coffee. Cute decoration of vintage items, matching the whole atmosphere of Rochester. We were a group of 5 and will definitely be back

I love the tradition of All Day Breakfast, sitting in old English house, surrounded by China & Shabby Chic decor like Mrs Tickit’s Pantry. The lady owner is Superb. Food is quite good in Price & Quality. I wish the milk should have been warm to compliment the black tea.

Really enjoyed our visit to Mrs Tickit’s Pantry. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was really nice. The rarebit with poached eggs was particularly impressive. Tea served in a lovely teapot, cup and saucer. The bathroom has a little built in stove in it which is quite unusual!

Fantastic service in a beautiful little building, full of character. The food is great. A varied selection of light lunches, sweet snacks and teas. With both indoor and outdoor seating, hidden away in the heart of Rochester, I’ve found this an enjoyable experience.

Not very good staff, laughing talking about customers while in the kitchen thinking they can’t be heard, very rude. Bad service.

Have passed by many times, but never entered. Partner fancied cake, so I suggested we try Mrs Tickit’s Pantry.
Small and cosy establishment
Can buy homemade cake to takeaway.
Purchased a slice of Victoria sponge and a slice of cherry & almond cake
Absolutely delicious! Moist, tasty, homemade, no added preservatives, wonderful!
Lovely, friendly customer service
I will definitely return.
I highly recommend.
