Mrs. Powell’s is a small bakery in a shopping plaza that has delicious sweets. They have a rewards program. I was able to put in my phone number and I got 25% off my first order!

I was greeted as I walked in. The employee was helpful and answered questions I had. She was patient with me as I decided which cinnamon rolls to get.

The rolls I ordered were the maple, lemon and original. They were all very soft, sweet and buttery. All three rolls tasted freshly made.

I can’t wait to come back and try more of the rolls!

I recently revisited Mrs. Powell’s after about 10 years, as I grew up eating their cinnamon rolls and always loved them. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. The cinnamon roll tasted generic, and it didn’t live up to my expectations. I honestly think Cinnabon is better now. It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t the Mrs. Powell’s I remembered. I heard the ownership has changed, which might explain the difference. Overall, I was very disappointed with my recent visit.

Been eating here since I was in elementary school. Great baked treats and good prices. There isn’t a better cinnamon roll in Idaho!

Let me start out by saying I can only get Mrs Powell’s once a year because I live out of state. I think about their cinnamon rolls all year. This year (6/21) I got my yearly box of rolls and they were SO dry. Terrible. They tasted like they had been sitting out for a week. I’m so sad and disappointed. I’ll be back next year and hopefully they’ll be back to normal. This year was so disappointing.

Dry , nasty. Even reduced they are $15 for 6 old cinnamon rolls. Their stuff is hit n miss. Days they used to be good and mostly days they are dry now. The person in charge of this establishment seems to think I write a lot of negative reviews. You are correct! There’s a lot of really bad, overpriced food in Idaho, because people are lazy here. This includes your establishment. Also, people in Idaho, apparently don’t ever go anywhere and they think everything here is wonderful, because they have no actual experience with anything else. If you look at your reviews that other people have left, you’ll see I’m not the only one that thinks your place has gone downhill. There’s a reason your other locations didn’t survive. I saw the reviewer you were snarkey to and I think your reply pretty much sums up the quality of this place telling her Albertson’s will appreciate the new business. Pretty much sums up the quality of your place.

What happened? The cinnamon rolls and caramel nut rolls used to be so good ands such a treat! I can go to Albertsons and pay 1/3 of the price and get a cinnamon roll just as good. So disappointed with the changes. I went be going back. Nothing special about this place anymore.

This is my favorite place to go get cinnamon rolls. I love the savory roll as well as the classic roll. I love that the girls heat it up too!
