The best meal I’ve had since moving to Lawton. Mrs. GG’s Southern Cookin’ truly feels like comfort food done right—crispy, juicy fried chicken and amazing mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. Five stars for sure!

We ate inside, but looks like a popular Togo location! Friendly staff. Small but efficient menu. Appears to change daily. Few beverage choices. Classic home cooking! Cabbage was wonderfully sweet, mashed potatoes and gravy perfect, meatloaf and baked chicken amazing! Don’t miss out! Great stop while we were in town!

I just got off the plane and wanted soul food. This food is so good. Baked chicken, Mac n cheese, collard greens, corn bread, and red velvet cake (with nuts added). Mrs GG herself is so sweet, also very honest and professional. If I lived here I’d be a regular ❤️

I found this place here looking for southern food. I read the menu and my mouth watered. I called to place a to go order. The woman was Very warm and friendly. When I started to place my order she informed me that this online menu is not correct (They aren’t able to change it before you ask). I wanted the $12.99 special which is not an option but she gave me the special anyway.
I wanted the sweet/spicy chicken but they don’t have it. Guess what!!! They made it for me, yes that’s right. I also had the greens ( it’s Sunday) and THEY ARE AMAZING!!! Some of the best I’ve had and I have southern roots. The cabbage was absolutely perfect. Seasoned perfectly! The Mac and cheese is good. I’m not a pasta fan so my opinion isn’t the best with Mac and cheese but it was good. The chicken was wing meat and the sauce, delicious! The sauce was thick and sweet. But then….the heat. I ate two and needed a break. I also got the banana pudding, it was homemade and delicious.
It was easy to find and a nice little place. Very comfortable and the entire staff were very friendly. 5 stars from me. Eat here and support the local business. Btw ….large portions.

Great service, the staff will welcome you in with open arms and treat you just like family that they have known for years. You can sit down and enjoy your meal with lots of friendly conversation. Also don’t forget some sweet tea….
