I’d heard about this place and I’d seen the traffic coming and going so I figured I’d try it. I’ve always thought Skipper John’s fried chicken was the best in the area, but this beats the band.
The fry is light and crispy, the chicken is moist and flavorful. The mac and cheese was creamy and the elbow noodles perfectly cooked and not overdone like many are.
I really appreciated the a la carte part of the menu so that I could order exactly what I wanted and not argue with someone about not giving me a thigh with my dark meat box.
I’m so glad this place is only 5 minutes away from work because I’m going to be here a lot.
Came back today and this time had a 2pc dark and chicken livers. Be warned: if you are eating for one, do not order a large! There were like 20 of them or more! Also got the rice & mashed potatoes, both with gravy.
Everything was delicious, and you can hear them frying so this stuff is super fresh.
Came back again for their fried Catfish fillets and this is just outstanding! The homemade tartar sauce and coleslaw is delicious!

This was my first visit to miss Betty’s and I have to say some of the food is delicious. The okra was okay, I’ve had better but not bad. The Liver was cooked well, golden brown, and was tough. I also had the Gizzards we’re a little tough but still warm goodness with some hot sauce. I wish the batter on them were seasoned because without hot sauce they were on the bland side. Onion Rings were nice and crunchy. The mashed potatoes were good but the gravy was a little too thick. The chicken is fried golden brown. Not a weekly but I will go.

What a great place! The people are ALWAYS very friendly and helpful whenever I come by for their delicious chicken to go for dinner. Absolutely fantastic chicken, juicy and crispy, hot and yummy. I’m coming back to try their many other items on the menu.

It was our first time here. Moving makes you find new places to eat! We walked in the restaurant it was clean, everyone was friendly, even the bathroom was clean, yes the bathroom.
But let’s get serious, we ordered the 6 piece mixed. With a small gizzards. I really don’t eat one else gizzards but my own cooking. But this place, takes the cake! They were well seasoned, fried and not greasy at all. The chicken was just as yummie, so we’re the fries! If you are looking for a spot, it’s a must try, you won’t be disappointed!

Delicious! The chicken nuggets are so good and the large order is a super generous amount. Don’t miss their catfish, only on Friday and Saturday (I think). Cole slaw is finely chopped (my favorite!) and super flavorful. Corn nuggets and fried green beans are great – something for everyone in my family! My husband also loves the fried burger but with all this food, we didn’t get one tonight Y’all keep doing what you’re doing!

My livers were cut in half tasteless, and overcooked. By cutting them in half, the cooking time of 5 minutes made them the way they were. I reached out to the owner to let her know that the livers were not good and that I would like to change what I ordered to something else. I didn’t ask for a refund but to change the item I received.
That wasn’t an option since she’s been selling livers all day and with no complaints from anyone else. Pretty much calling me a liar. The livers were cooked correctly, and since I thought they were not good, that was just my opinion.
I recorded a video and you can hear the livers as I put them down—dry dry dry.

Normally the fried chicken is always piping hot and cooked to perfection. Today I ordered a wing, leg, and thigh and all 3 tasted stale. The meat was tough like the chicken had been sitting for some time. This was an online order and was stated “ready for pick-up at 3:03 pm” with about 25 mins prep time. Got there around 2:56 and walked in a little after to get my food. I thought it would be super fresh. Disappointing, because this place is a great competitor for local fried chicken. Staff was nice, and it’s always quiet and clean when I visit. I’ll definitely give them another try because I feel like my situation may be a one-off. Seemed like a slow day.
