This is not “Mr Beast’s” restaurant. This is a “Freddy’s”, which is a “Steak and Shake”. Which isn’t bad, it’s just not what they advertised. Evidently there is a new “thing” for having a restaurant inside another restaurant. Here in Douglas we have at least 3 of them. Mr Beast’s inside a Freddy’s/Stake and Shake, an Italian restaurant inside of Ruby Tuesday’s and I’m not sure of what style it is, but inside of the Huddle House here, there is another restaurant with a completely different menu, that you can only access online (which seems to be the same with all of these). I guess the idea makes sense, take a very popular (although somewhat controversial) YouTube star, slap his name on something, make something on your regular menu a little different and slap it online. It kinda reminds me of the “hidden” menus from McDonald’s and Burger King. Anyway, back to Freddy’s, they were ok. I got a double cheeseburger with bacon and the bacon was way to salty. The burger part was good, sometimes a smash burger is dry from being so thin, but this one was still kinda juicy. There weren’t enough condiments though. The chili cheese tots I had were NOT good. Tots were fresh, the chili was terrible and the cheese was generic pump cheese. So not impressed with the chili cheese tots. I also got a, or was supposed to get a strawberry shake. I got a strawberry cheesecake shake instead. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t what I ordered. There were chunks of cheese cake in it, but not enough strawberries. It tasted more like a vanilla cheesecake shake, with the occasional strawberry. I really hate to be this negative, I like Steak and Shake. So make of this what you will.
