This place Rocks! Eclectic bar and restaurant. Great food, friendly service quick with a drink. Cutting edge music venue. Saw 4 bands in 1 night all for free. All while having ice cold draft beer and hot apps and pizza. The whole Highland Square neighborhood vibe is…..”Hate to sound old school” GROOVY. Owners know how to make everyone feel welcome even though it’s a local hangout.

PATHETIC excuse for a sub. Idk if he’s trying to be like a NY deli with all cuts and subs he’s got, but it’s actually a very sad excuse even a “sandwich”. My sandwich was supposed to have 3 diff cuts in it, which it did, but about 1 slice of each. The meat couldn’t even cover the small hoagie bread it was served on. I have a penny for scale. I’ve bought from him years ago and the sandwiches were pretty legit. Now for $13 I get about 2 oz of meat on a 10oz piece of bread. Total let down, idk if it’s new management or what but the place isn’t what it used to be. Maybe he’s just trying to act like a proper Brooklyn Jew and penny pinch, although they at least load their sandwiches/subs at their delis over there. (I got the “Sam Rothstein – Jewish Italian”, how fitting )

If Zubs has no fans that means I am dead. I love Zubs. My greatest joy is being able to walk here. I love all the sweet angel bartenders and I think their sandwiches are all so delicious. I eat the same meals every single day but not at Zubs. Zubs is so good I am forced to switch up my order.

First time coming, found Mr.Zubs online. The food looked amazing. I ordered carry out from an extremely nice girl. I ordered the Rocky Steak Sub and a side of Mushrooms. The Mushrooms were 7 dollars and I got maybe 7 tiny mushrooms. They were delicious but can’t justify the price. The Steak Sub was so disappointing, no cheese, no mayo, barely any meat extremely small for 11.50$. I only reason for a 5 Star, I can’t penalize the workers. They are told to serve tiny portions. However, unfortunately I will not ever return to this extremely High price low quality food.

First time here and was very impressed. Loved the decor and the menu is great. Sandwiches are named after iconic movies.. they have an extensive selection. Abigail at the front desk (where you order) was very nice and personable. Bartender was super nice as well. They have a nice beer selection.

If you are in a hurry, you may want to go elsewhere. They take their time perfecting your order. We weren’t in a hurry and knew it would be a minute. Sat on the patio and enjoyed each other’s company, as one should. Life is too short to whine about where your food is.

My daughter has been telling me about Zub’s and it was a nice ending to our day at the Zoo. Will definitely revisit when I’m in the area.

UPDATE: stopped in today (8/21) and was delish.. just as good as the first time. Bartender was friendly, and well made drinks.

Everyone was nice! Its a bar scene so take that what you will, but if you want good food and maybe get some drinks this is the place for you or if you just want food. High recommended the corned beef!

Well, what can I say about this place? At first glance, the bar looks interesting with its movie-themed décor — definitely eye-catching. Unfortunately, that’s where the good impressions ended.

There was no greeting when we arrived and no waitstaff in sight. Everything has to be ordered through a kiosk, which already took away from the dining experience. The menu looked promising, though, so I decided to give it a chance and ordered the “Rocky Balboa” steak sandwich. It looked great in the picture, but what I got was disappointing — barely any meat, no cheese, and very little flavor. I also ordered tater tots, which were bland and tasted like they’d been fried in old oil.

My wife ordered “The Duckie” sandwich, and after one bite, she couldn’t eat it. Her seasoned fries were also flavorless and had the same bad oil taste. Honestly, I’ve had better food from a gas station for a fraction of the price.

For the quality and portion sizes, they should at least include fries or tots with the sandwiches. I’m from Cleveland, and I can’t recommend this establishment to anyone. My guess is that the poor food and service might be due to an overly large menu. This place would be a perfect candidate for Kitchen Nightmares. Such a shame — it has potential but really missed the mark.

Awful food for the price. This place is serving gas station quality food at sit down restaurant prices. Just paid $20 for boneless wings and fries and these are %100 frozen chicken bites. After seeing the dudes in the kitchen I wouldn’t trust them to cook raw chicken anyway. Don’t go here thinking this is going to be quality food. This is gas station quality food if not worse.

Good food, great pizza, good prices on drinks, but they regularly close their kitchen prior to their posted hours. And it’s not like it’s 15 minutes, it’ll be well over an hour. Just went there tonight at 8:02 because the website says the kitchen is open ’til 9. They’d already closed the kitchen and were clearly close to finished with cleaning it, so who knows how early they closed up. I want to love this place because it has very good food when they decide to actually have the kitchen opened. The vibe is pretty good, but sometimes there’s a few too many sketchy looking guys, but that’s now a general problem for all of Highland Square. Large beer selection with good prices. Hopefully they realize the harm they’re doing to their business by not following their own hours.

I’ve been many times and have never had a bad experience. The food is always really good, and the service is solid. They also have a nice bar and while the space is small, the patio is a great spot when the weather is nice. It can get pretty loud later at night, so I usually prefer going earlier in the evening or lunch.
