This place was a all around wonderful time. Staff made you feel like you were eating at a family cookout. And food was out of this world

Took advice from the internet and made the trip out to this spot – totally worth it! The ribs were fall off the bone tender, and the brisket fries were awesome. Cornbread was more like corn cake but also excellent. My dining guest had the roast chicken and is picky about BBQ…even he said he’d be back. And if you leave room there’s also ice cream!

Wow! What a local gem.

I got the burger and it was fantastic!! Asked for a side of mayo before i tried it but ended up not even needing it. The burger was great as is.

Lightning fast service too. Daniella was great. I was greeted when I came in, seated, given a menu and the food suggestion right away (that I ended up going with). No mental overhead at all loved it!!

Just overall a super smooth experience and very efficient & well-run establishment. Will definitely be back.

5 Stars doesn’t mean Perfect, it means a place delivers on everything we need & we will be back soon! Service from both our waitress to the many others zipping around, they were very close and faster than had we walked in line and picked out our food! Being out first time, she covered all the basics quickly and was even entertaining our 3 yr old , who is very very social right now, she easily could have brushed her off while taking orders she didn’t. She engaged, and we will always be back where our family is wanted! We ordered pretty much everything, and that includes the “Table Side S’mores”!! Which were an absolute knock out of the park for desert. It both kept the kids engaged and allowed us to enjoy the breeze a bit more.A pretty good Singer was setting up as we left, so we are little bummed we missed it, and very excited to come back for live music soon. Chicken was smoked and burnt where it needs to be, the Texas Brisket Sandwich (we are from Texas) Is absolutely a Must and gets an A from us Texans! We even took one home, hit reheat in oven and it was spot on again. You MUST try this sandwich before you can judge this place. The ribs were really good, I like the sauce. Personally, I need Jalapeno Beans or something HOY with my Ribs, everyone else downed them before I could really judge In full.
Two things to remember:
1. CASH TIP ONLY, bring the bills for tip, you can pay with Card at Register in side and grab some merch or to-go
2. Rest-Room is “Round Back” to be perfect BBQ bathroom it needs some Willie Nelson posters or maybe I’ll bring one! It was very clean and easily accessible, after I learned where it was.
Parking isn’t great , so of you got a bigger Truck than my Taco, then you should park on the Left for easy in and out. Motorcycle clubs love his place and I enjoy hearing them rumble off. Family spot with all the querks of a local BBQ joint. If you haven’t been here in a while, check it out. Staff is superior to any place we have visit yet. I wish I had had more cash for waitress, so come prepared! See y’all there next time!

We ate Indoors as the weather was cold out, but the inside was a disappointment compared to how good the outside looked. The food itself was ok, the service was nice. The menu didn’t have that many options and the portions were normal.

Four of us ate there last evening. Regrettably, the food was the worst part of the experience. The silver skin was not removed from the racks of ribs – very unpleasant and makes them difficult to eat. My brisket sandwich had to be remade as one half did not have actual meat, but had just a piece of fat/gristle. They were quick to remake it, though, by then, the rest of the family was done with their meals. My husband and I noted that the amount of brisket on our sandwiches was pretty skimpy. We had called earlier and our son was told that they put 1/2 lb of meat on their sandwiches. Not based on our experience. The worst may have been the sweet potato “fries”. These were slabs of sweet potato with no seasoning, thst seemed to have been baked, not fried, and were not thoroughly cooked. Served with marshmallow crème, they were not even close to what you’d expect sweet potato fries to be. The Mac n cheese was just “okay”. We would not return and could not recommend this place.

Great BBQ joint. Took my family here after the zoo last week and we were pleasantly surprised. Huge, delicious pulled pork sandwiches and the sides seemed to be homemade not frozen. My small kids liked everything. The pork and the fries, both regular and sweet potato were the highlights for us. The service was perfect as well so this will hopefully become a regular thing for us. We don’t go out often but when we do Mr Yock’s will definitely be at the top of our list.

I’ve eaten here five times since moving to the area. The first visit was amazing—the chicken and ribs had a distinct smoked flavor that really stood out. The second time was just okay; I figured it was an off day. On my third visit, I dined in and the pulled pork was great as was the server.

Unfortunately, the last two times I ordered takeout, the quality dropped significantly. The chicken was dry, cold, and tasted like it could’ve come from a grocery store rotisserie. The ribs were tough—more like cured leather than something fresh off a smoker. It was genuinely unappetizing and disappointing.

After spending over $200 on just a handful of visits, I’m done. It turns out that first great experience was the exception, not the norm. The food here is just too inconsistent to justify going back.

Wasn’t to happy with my meal. They seemed to have microwaved the ribs and chicken so it had the hard ends on the ribs and the chicken was dry. To add, I did eat the entire meal. I also had the brisket sandwhich the Friday before and it was delicious. Sorry I do understand the difficulties with BBQ and keeping it fresh and hot. I also hate sending back food.

Thank you

I don’t know where to begin. What an incredible experience we just had. Food was excellent. Ribs & chicken cooked to perfection. Homemade cornbread, homemade coleslaw that was beyond delicious. Spotlessly clean & nicely decorated. Our server Danielle & owner/chef Shannon made a great night even better & made us feel like family. Oh & crème brûlée that was as good if not better than any restaurant we’ve ever been to. It deserves many more stars. Needless to say we’ll be back. BYOB!
