The waiter was kind and the food was the best Indian I’ve had since leaving queens! When the chili paneer was a bit spicy for me, he brought over raita (a yogurt sauce) which made it all the more enjoyable. The tikka masala was rich and flavorful, and the naan was soft and crisp. The point is, every step of the way the dining experience was inviting and as a couple that likes a quiet and mellow atmosphere the in dining experience was perfect. If you’re looking for a perfect date night location, this is the ideal place!

Visited Livingston for some work and that also just at the starting of the blizzard! Got hungry and discovered this gem of an Indian dining experience. After quite a long time polished off everything! Courteous service, finger licking food enjoyed by the whole family – perfect! The chicken kolhapuri was just delish while the Hyderabadi Lamb Biyani was way better in quality and portion than other similar ones. The cherry on the top was the free dessert courtesy the chef was and the host Alan’s warm behavior. Overall might just have go back again just for this.

Delicious Indian Cuisine & Friendly Service
Mr Tandor is a fantastic spot for delicious and fresh Indian food at an affordable price. We started with the potato pancakes and the vegetable samosas – both perfectly cooked, crisp and full of flavor. Keema Mutter and Fish Vindaloo were outstanding- fresh, well spiced and satisfying.
The service was warm, friendly and the portion sizes were generous. The menu is affordable and varied – there is something for everyone.
A great choice for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in Livingston – highly recommend!

If you are looking for consistently excellent cuisine; this is the perfect place! Every visit has been an absolute pleasure for me. My favorites include the Chicken Methi , Tandoori Wings, Hyderabadi Dum Boriyani Egg and Bhutan Baingan. This is a tiny sample of the robust menu of dishes just bursting with flavor. An absolute playground for palate pleasure!

Service is excellent! Warm and pleasant approach and really very nice.
Unfortunately, in my last visit at the restaurant I had the worst Kofta ever! I always go to Indian restaurants so I am familiar with the cuisine. I love vegetarian Indian food. My favorite dish is Kofta. The kofta was dry, not spiced well and tasted more like a dry potato. The sauce was disappointing as well. That tangy somewhat sweet sauce was critically lacking. I couldn’t even finish the leftovers at home.
I will not give up on the place… yet. I will try it one more time. Maybe it was a one time thing… I am sorry to write a negative review but it is what it is.

Had a Thanksgiving party at my house with ~30 people and got catering from Mr. Tandoor. We ordered one tray of chili paneer, one tray of Chicken 65, and one tray of Hakka Noodles. WAY TOO MUCH FOOD, but all my guests were asking for a takeaway bag before leaving. Food was perfectly seasoned. Not too spicy, but had a nice kick. Very easy to work with the team. I put my order in over the phone and they confirmed via text. They delivered to my home (only a few minutes from the restaurant), which made my job as host even easier. Will definitely be ordering from them again. Looking forward to eating these left overs for the next few days. Thank you, Allan!

Well since Spice Grill on rte 46 is now adios I had to find a new Indie restaurant fast. This place has been open for two years and I had no clue. The food is very good, prices are good but the portions are much smaller than I’m accustomed to. Basically its not enough food. I even had to ask for more rice as they provide a tiny container. I have been here now three times in two weeks. I’m still struggling to access the portions. I almost wish they charged a bit more and uped the portions. I may have to find another Indie restaurant again.

Ordered take out for the first time. Food was better than expected. Had the Indian flavors without being overpowering. ( I personally like full flavor, but I understand the importance creating a balance.) Everything tasted fresh; we ordered garlic naan, tandoori chicken, haryali chicken and bhindi masala. I was disappointed that rice only came with the veggie dish and the portion was very small, but we did have the naan. Overall a good experience and the prices were very reasonable. It’s very close to home so I’ll dry dining in next time. Happy to find good Indian food nearby.

We ordered once through doordash and have been coming back to dine in ever since! It’s delicious food and laid back service in a quiet setting. I have yet to have a disappointing dish here! We especially love their naan and their samosa chaat!
