As soon as I walked into MR. Sub I felt like it was going to be like a Jersey Mike’s, but the service was so unlike an assembly line you just know the food was going to be a step above. The sandwiches were excellent with prices that are equally as good. The menu is extensive with many different choices (I plan on trying them all) stop by and see Joe he and his crew will set ya up with heaven on sandwich. What ever one you choose you can’t go wrong.

This is the best sub shop in Union County, for sure. Delicious fresh cold cuts, piled high, fresh lettuce, tomato, onion, and salt/pepper/oil/vinegar – perfection! Friendly service, nice seating area. Had no idea that a half a sub is enough sandwich for two people, so we have another lunch for tomorrow. Highly recommend!

I walked in and was greeted by a friendly lady at the register, I then walked over to the order here sign where an older man was standing, not busy whatsoever while another lady was making the sandwiches, and he seemed very disinterested and not willing to say hi or even take my order. So I asked if this is where I order and was ignored. So I then just stated my order and he said “well get it for you”. I then watched two other people walk in and get their food in less than 10 minutes before I walked out 20 minutes later food still not ready, and I was not going to give this place my money. Not sure what this guys deal is. All low ratings mention the owner and his attitude.

Cash only so be prepared! The subs here are very good and they are also reasonably priced, definitely a better value than going to a fast food place. They have a big menu so whatever type of sub you are craving they probably have. They pretty always have a long line at lunch time which to me is a sign that people enjoy their subs.

Best sub in NJ, bar none! Forget the big sub/ hoagie chains, as well as the other local delis. You won’t find a sub with better bread, more piled high meat, fresher toppings, at a better price. They’ve been around for about 1/2 century, and other than the location, nothing has changed over that many years. You won’t be disappointed!
