This was my first time here, staff were incredible, we ordered appetizers and salads which came out before our meal did. Everything tasted great! Hot foods were hot, cold foods were cold. Servings were huge and great prices, will definitely return.

Unhygienic and unpleasant experience.
Sad to share this was a very poor experience for my friend and I.
What used to be Yafa Grill is now Mr shawarma, the food, service and ambiance is not the same.
The restaurant floors and ceiling is stained, the couch we sad on had a hole, the table had a chipped corner, the bathrooms are extremely dirty.
There was hair on the sink and the toilet has stains and appears extremely unclean.

To make things worse, while it looked unclean and run down, the whole restaurant had a pungent smell of cleaning liquid.

The food was also very poor.
We ordered a veggie platter.
The baba ganoush was flavorless
The hummus had more oil than hummus itself and the oil tasted stale.
The dolmas tasted off, the filling was slimy.
The food was served in a flimsy paper plate.
The Turkish coffee was also nothing like it used to be.

I used to love this restaurant and I don’t know if the management and quality also changed with the name change but customer be ware.

This is not a place you go to for good ambiance or good food. Our experience was pathetic.

Sadly, the service was also poor.
Will not be going back.

This restaurant is located next to Yaffa Market and isn’t clearly labeled on the outside (in my opinion). There are pictures of food on the windows, but it wasn’t clear to me from the outside if what I was looking at was part of the Yaffa Market or if it was the restaurant I was looking at. The door to the restaurant is on the end of the building, and my husband and I were immediately greeted upon walking in, which was great! It definitely made us feel welcomed and made us feel sure that we were in the correct place. We were told to find a place to sit, and then were given menus. There were tons of meat options, but for vegetarians, there was the vegetarian platter and the falafel wrap. They also had a big selection of appetizers, and several of them are vegetarian-friendly. We ordered the large hummus plate and falafel wraps. The hummus and pita were delicious! The pita was hot and pillowy, and the olive oil in the hummus was truly balanced well with the rest of the flavors. It was also a good hummus-to-pita ratio. The falafel wraps were flavorful, and we both found the chopped up dill to bring a good “zing” to the overall taste. The overall meal was truly great and the value was awesome! With tip, we paid $25 total. We will definitely be back! Delicious food at a great price AND kind & friendly staff? I highly recommend this restaurant!

I usually get the chicken shawarma sandwich and falafels and they are great every time. I have yet to try other foods here but its great every time I get it. Some of my favorite falafels in the area and I always get the garlic sauce to dip them in. Chicken wrap is always tasty and a great cheap lunch option. Hard to beat the price to flavor ratio there. Lunch buffet looks good but have yet to try. Always get it to go, and I am always happy with the food. Nothing to dislike here. Real Score: 8.7/10

One of our favorite restaurants in the Dayton area. We’ve been going here for over a 10 years and every meal has been fantastic. Seriously we have always had great service and fantastic food every single time. The chicken shawarma is unmatched, the kabobs are authentic and awesome. Baba ghanous is amazing, falafel is crispy and garlicky, we usually order the 12 pc so when we get home we have 6 for dinner..lol
The hummus is just magical. I’ve tried many, many hummuses(restaurants and retail) NOTHIING beats their hummus. It’s soo addicting and delicious.

If you’re hesitant, go for their lunch buffet. A wide variety of their food is available to taste and try. You will not be disappointed or leave hungry.
Stop in the Yaffa Market next door, grab some pita for your freezer and maybe something else new to you. I’ve never walked out empty handed. Lol

Food:
– Humus is very good, to some too strong.
– All the food is perfectly seasoned.
– Chicken is dry, use the sauce with it.
– The sauces are very good, request for more.
– Arabic Salad is bland.
– Pita bread is freshly made and fluffy.
– Fries are seasoned and freshly made.

In-depth Information:
All the food here is very good. Everything seems to be well seasoned perfectly, the only thing that doesn’t have much flavor is the Arabic Salad. The chicken shawarma was good other than that the chicken was dry BUT the taste was phenomenal. Just an extra bit of information on the Humus is that if you like Tahini, the Humus is loaded with it, depending on your preference you may like it or not. Personally I thought the flavor was just right for it. I would request for more of the sauces as the small little cups don’t seem to be enough and they do go really well on the chicken and the rice. They have fries that are also seasoned and are freshly made. The pita bread has a nice fluffy texture to it and a very mild but gently sweet taste to them, going well with the Humus.

Service:
The lady that served us was very kind, patient, and helpful when we asked some questions about the food.

Atmosphere:
The place definitely has a hole in a wall feel to it, which definitely means that the looks on the inside will not match a good/fancy restaurant but there food does make up for the interior/exterior look to Shawarma & Grill.

Mr. Shawarma is a great spot in Fairborn for tasty Arabic food. The shawarma is flavorful and the portions are generous. The hummus isn’t the best I’ve tried, but overall the food is really good and the service is super friendly. Definitely a nice place to stop by if you’re craving Middle Eastern food.
