First time eating from Mr. Shark Fish & Chicken restaurant in Durham, NC. My fam and I ordered whiting fish, shrimp, wings, fried mushrooms, and fried okra….Delicious! Fish was cook to perfection and the wings…amazing! I will definitely order from Mr. Shark again.

The fried chicken at this place is IT!
Crispy to perfection and their seasoning is just a perfect touch. I’ve never been disappointed and their chicken is consistently great. The only drawback/complaint I have is the food takes forever to be ready. I guess you can’t compromise great food with that level of quality for the sopes to get it. (Maybe except when you’re actually in a rush lol … still giving 5 stars though)

This place is the TRUTH!!!! I am from Gary, IN!!! I know a thing or two about Chicago Style and this is IT!!! Everything was fresh! Cooked to perfection and the girl at the front counter was sooo kind! She has great customer service and she made sure my food was perfect and didn’t mind giving extra lemon pepper!!! You have to get the mild sauce too!!!

Ordered chicken legs with fries, okra, and jalapeño pops. The food was exceptionally fresh and delicious. Spent $25 for food for two so extremely economical. Highly recommend this restaurant for casual dining.

1/20/24, I ordered a 3pcs trout dinner with double fries. The fish was fried so hard, (like a chicken wing) that I only could eat the middle of each piece of fish. I had to “trash” over have of my meal. The breading of the fish was terrible, too much. I know that fry fish better than that in Chicago. I am a fried fish lover. The biggest disappointment of my birthday weekend. If it wasn’t so cold, I would have took that ride to attempt to get a refund.

I enjoyed the chicken wings very much. They weren’t overcooked & tasted good. The hush puppies & cole slaw were very good as well. The mac & cheese was absolutely disgusting!! The noodles were like mush & it had NO flavor whatsoever. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with it. Not expecting it to be like home, however some more effort could have been put into making it. This is truly a fried fish & wing spot…..mac & cheese should be taken off the menu.

Ordered a door dash order at 7:59pm my order was cancelled. I had been eyeing this place for awhile do to the reviews i saw on tiktok about how good the good is . However, seems as though they don’t like delivery orders . Says online they close at 10pm i ordered earlier enough not to get in the way with there closing time .

The food and service were great. The chicken is some of the better chicken in Durham and you can eat for $5-10. They were nice to everyone. The restaurant itself was fine, it just smells like a normal local seafood place. The wait is long so I would order ahead but that is clear on a sign by the register, it’s made to order and fresh. I got 2 legs and green beans for $5, and it was super hot and cooked fresh. I would just order ahead next time. It’s also awesome that it’s halal.

Really good fried seafood and fried chicken. Food is plentiful and cheap. Service is a bit slow and food does start to taste the same after a while, but still good. Ton of food for less than $10 per person.
