The food was great, fresh and didn’t take long. Only thing I didn’t like was that i was charged more then what the menu said the price was. The menu said my order would be $16 and some change. When I came in to pick it up my receipt said it was $22 and some change. I still gave a $3 tip but I thought that was strange… either update your menus or let people know that prices have changed, if that’s the case

They serve breakfast and a few other dishes until 1p. You can dine in our order ahead for carry out. They are a black owned business that’s been in the neighborhood for years. If you go enough times they WILL recognize you and call you by your name and they Always greet the customers as they enter the establishment. I highly recommend the experience and the food.

Family owned for 50 years. Soul food at it’s best. We had breakfast and it was outstanding. I had salmon corquetts, grits, fried eggs, and biscuits. My wife had the ham and cheese omlete, hash fries, and toast. Old dinner atmosphere with mainly local. This is a hidden soul food gem! The owner talked to us on the way out. She was so nice and appreciative, which made our visit even better.

Service was confusing, they had a sign that said please wait to be seated yet they told me to go ahead and sit down. I thought um where? The waitress came within one minute for our order which we asked for a few minutes to decide. After we ordered we waited a fair bit of time for our food, not long but longer then then portion size should be. The food was good, my girlfriend said her eggs weren’t fully cooked but fine otherwise, so no real complaint on the time for the food. Once we got our check it had no total on our order and no information on how to pay it so my girlfriend guessed where it would be but I waited to see where another guest paid. The place was good and I’m sure the whole experience would be better another time however the first time was just confusing.
