Stopped by M&R Lounge last weekend and had a great time. The live band was surprisingly good, and the atmosphere felt friendly without being too loud. I loved that there was plenty of space to hang out, and the pool tables were a nice bonus. Drinks were solid—nothing fancy, but definitely hit the spot. It’s not the most polished place, but that’s part of the charm.

I’ve noticed they make a conscious effort to look out for guests, particularly women who may be by themselves, ensuring they have a safe way to get home if they’ve had a bit too much to drink. They are located in a strip mall. At 12 noon a truck and trailer were blocking the parking lot and all the spaces around the restaurant I was trying to go to. So I parked in front of their bar. A girl came out yelling at me to move my car and said it was their store front. They had no signs saying only their customers can park there. She said if I left my car there she’d have it towed. In over 25 years of driving in Mobile I’ve never experienced anyone coming out of their store and telling me I can’t park in front of their business. The only time I’ve seen it enforced is if they had a sign up saying their parking only. Which they don’t. Not only that, when I got there, there was maybe 2 cars in front of their bar. My suggestion, add paint to the spots or add signs marking which spots are yours. Customers aren’t mind readers and don’t deserved to be treated the way I was treated simply for parking in a non divided parking lot.

As usual great music, waitresses, pretty clean, nice pool tables (2) , decent to good mixed drinks, medium to lower pricing, good atmosphere, however during this experience some patrons walked up on more than just me and were harassing the woman , so be cautious. Not the bars fault!! Just watch the creepers as like any bar. I have been here for the past few years and almost always have a great time. Down to earth people, from sipping to drunk lol I recommend this place to hang with friends of all ages. ( 21+ obviously) definitely check out the waitress Ronnie, she is always constantly on top of her game when I’ve been there and pay attention to all patrons, pretty speedy bar tending. Will keep coming here for many reason. *updated review*

My first time going to M & R was last week and it was one of the best experiences I had! Everyone treated me like family and the drinks were great! Definitely will be one of my regular spots after work
