My eyes were burning as soon as we got in there last week. I hadn’t even sat down. We’ve been going for years (since the old location) I’m so glad I wasn’t wearing my contacts. It wasn’t long before I realized just why my eyes were burning. Our server this time wasn’t changing the grills. Black smoke. (Never wear anything nice to korean bbq) I learned that a decade ago.
He forgot our sodas.. and then went into a pretend as if he didn’t take the soda order..yet. hmm… only to give me regular coke instead of diet. Usually we’ve had great service. My Yelp history proves that. The Filipino guy is the best server. He was there but not on our side of the room. Fish cake I couldn’t eat this time. First time ever. Very fishy. Tasted old. The marinated pork belly wasn’t edible and my Filipino spouse would NEVER waste anything pork. First time I’ve witnessed that after 13 years together. Filipinos do not waste. It was just an off Sunday night I guess. I had to turn the grill off twice as I couldn’t take the burning smoke any longer. My eyes still felt itchy after a long hot shower. Eek. I think we’ll stick to weekdays. Less busy. Hopefully things get better all around.
I do like their Miso.. but that’s kinda hard to mess up. The fried chicken and spring rolls are good each time. Brisket is the safest choice.
Gen on south was pretty great last visit a few weeks ago. Excellent service on a crazy busy night.
If you have the money, google/check out Chubby Cattle or Ribs & Co.
Cheers!

Liked. But some beef has lots of grease and servers were not enough to serve to customers well. Even burned grilled was not replaced for 10 minutes. Servers are kind but not enough for serving. Price is good. Quality is reasonable as its price.

The service was great. The waitstaff was very attentive, responsive, and helpful. Plenty of seating area. You feel like everyone is bunched up around a grill. I love the idea of buffet/grill your own. It’s the prefect blend.

I am not even going to sugar coat it, the food is NOT GOOD. It is expensive, the options at the “buffet” are all cold and old. My rice was hard, my glass noodles were salty, the meats they brought our had no seasoning and tasted nasty and bland. Our server brought us our first 3 meats we ordered and didn’t return for literally the rest of our stay. He confirmed our sodas twice before bringing them out when we first arrived and they were STILL WRONG. The only good thing I tasted here was the prepackaged ice cream. I would never return and do not recommend. Idk how people like this place. It also felt dirty. If I could give 0 stars I would.

They know how to do business. I mean we cook our own meats and get up to pick our own side dishes. Paying them to cook and prepare our own food.

I’m just saying, a good concept to open this kind of buisness.

Found out that Mr Lee moves here from Cerritos location, I’m not sure if this is true but upon tasting the mash potato, it tasted like one.

Still affordable from the rest of kbbq.
Side dishes include miso soup, salad, fried chicken, beef dumpling, and more.

They recently relocated from their previous place on South and Norwalk, and I’m glad they did. It’s a bigger and newer location with the same great quality food. It’s still the best Korean BBQ I’ve ever had. I mainly come for their sides. Their mashed potatoes, bean sprouts, and mini cucumbers are very good. Don’t forget to ask for radishes and kimchi.

Food was pretty good. You simply order the meat dishes you want –three at a time. Don’t forget though, there’s all the veggies and side dishes you can grab as well! They have Miso Soup, Fried chicken, and an assortment of vegetables (marinated perilla leaves, kimchi, etc…) best of all prices are very reasonable!
Oh, even though you can drink as much miso as you want, the other soup-based items (tofu stews and whatnot) are Ala Carte, so keep that in mind.

Many years ago, the Mr. Lee’s on South St. in Artesia/Cerritos was my OG KBBQ spot that started my KBBQ obsession. It’s nice to see it evolve a bit more to cater to the big deal that KBBQ is now.

First off, this place is HUGE. There is SO much seating and huge tables. When you go into a room, you take a peak around the corner and there is another huge room with more tables! I came in on off hours on a Sunday, so I’m curious to see what it’s like when it’s REALLY busy.

Service – I came during off-hours so the service was attentive and fast. Again, I would have to come back during busy times to see if it’s just as good.

Food – good quality meats, the salad buffet style banchan is always the best because we then don’t have to share a measly bite of a side dish between multiple people. I can stack a plate of my kimchi and potato salad and that’s that. That’s for meeeeee. They also advertise that you do have to pay extra if you want Kalbi short ribs.

Will definitely be returning because I loved it very much.

Well! I was back again to this place after tried AYCE KBBQ in Arizona last a couple of days ago. This one was better with side dishes and meats. This place was always packed and people was usually waited at least 30-45’. Services here were excellent and prompt. Even this restaurant was small but it ran smoothly and could handle customers efficiently. The price of this place was cheap and reasonable compared to other places around the neighborhood. Loved it.

Pretty good BBQ – it can get very hot inside and there is no A/C or fan, so you may want to eat here outside of the peak temp outside.

Default portion of meat is really big so you may want to ask for a 1/2 if you’re trying multiple meats.
