We had our family Valentine’s dinner here last night, and overall it was a lovely experience. Just a heads‑up—if you make a reservation, don’t arrive too early because they won’t seat you until your scheduled time. Other than that, everything was wonderful. Our server was incredibly sweet, took her time explaining the menu, and even offered a few recommendations that turned out to be absolutely delicious. Chef’s kiss. The food was amazing, and I’d definitely recommend Mr. Kim’s to anyone looking for authentic Korean‑style BBQ. We’ll be returning soon. A special thank‑you to our server for providing some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time.

Love this place! Excellent atmosphere, can’t recommend the food enough, it was an experience in it self! Rex was an amazing waiter, he was the vibe to bring it all together! Can’t not mention the bartenders, just get the lychee martini! We will be back!

Mr. Kim’s is one of the best, most unique dining experiences in Tulsa. It is always where we bring out-of-town guests and it never fails to impress!

I’ve never walked out of a restaurant so flummoxed. Was it me? Was it the service? Being completely new to Korean cuisine, I take that into consideration. I feel like we could have been taken on a journey, but instead I left feeling very confused.

The food itself was spot on—absolutely delightful! The atmosphere is stunning and well thought-out. But the service… that’s where things fell apart. The communication was discombobulated. At one point, we had to walk to the kitchen just to get tea service, and there were several moments where we were left scratching our heads, missing items and in the end we just gave up asking. We’re a patient, easy-going group, and if you look at my reviews, I’m usually quite generous with stars. It just didn’t feel right in this case.

That said, I truly believe every restaurant can have an off day, and this may have been one of them. The potential is there, and with the food and ambiance this good, I’d encourage you to try it out and see for yourself.

Hosea at Mr. Kim’s is absolutely phenomenal and truly makes the entire experience unforgettable. We always request him whenever we come in, especially when we’re bringing friends or family from out of town, and every single time he goes above and beyond. He doesn’t just serve the meal — he takes you on a journey.

We always do the omakase, and it is incredible every time. Hosea’s knowledge, kindness, and attention to detail elevate an already amazing experience into something truly special. He explains each course with such passion and expertise, making you appreciate every bite even more.

The food itself is phenomenal — we absolutely love it — and Mr. Kim’s is hands down our go-to place when we want to treat guests to something unique and memorable. Hosea is a true gem of Mr. Kim’s, and his service is a huge reason we keep coming back.

This place is a Tulsa staple and an absolute must-try when you’re here. We couldn’t recommend it more.

Shawn was awesome and patient while we asked first timer questions. The meat was exquisite for $75 and very filling for one with dessert included. Will be back. Fav was the sea scallop.

Walked in went to the bar( bar menu different from table menu)
Got the chef special Wagu beef tri tip on rice. Was served with spiced peanuts Kim chi ( fresh and the beat I ever had) and spicy cucumber slices. And the best whisky sour Ive had in Tulsa.whike I question the Wagu because not as tender as i had in a Michalin stared restraunt it was excellent. I hate to mention that a few grain of the rice wasn’t done enough because it was so perfectly seasoned and I have never liked Kimchi while this has changed my mind forever as It was not sour luke I have had before. The cucumbers were new to me and a Delightful surprise of cool chilled cucumber with spicy hot after feel i could have been delighted with just that, atmosphere muted lighting, very Romatic, music may need to rething as some do not want the F word while enjoying a felaxing meal but what to do most lists include some hip hop nowdays. Complimentary orange cream sherbert made me close my eyes and enjoy a relaxing moment after a great meal.

This place feels more like an upscale American restaurant borrowing a Korean framework than a true Korean BBQ spot. The atmosphere is elevated, with dim lighting and a sophisticated vibe definitely not your typical Korean BBQ joint.

The drink selection is great, with a variety of options including Korean soju and makgeolli. When you order meat, banchan (side dishes) are included, but they don’t quite feel authentically Korean. Instead, they borrow flavors from different parts of Asia. Overall, the food seems to lack sugar or sweetness, so some of the depth of flavor is missing. For example, the cucumber side dish tasted more like a Chinese-style preparation than the Korean version.

We ordered brisket, but it wasn’t the Korean-style “chadolbagi” (thin, fatty brisket). Instead, it was a very lean cut with almost no fat. The galbi (short ribs) were better, but still, when I think of Korean BBQ, I expect melt-in-your-mouth meat. Here, it just didn’t deliver that. However, kimchi fried rice was good. Also, server was helpful, a bit slow.

In the end, I’d say this is more of a fusion restaurant than a true Korean BBQ experience.

I had such a great time tonight at Mr. Kim’s – it was my first time. Our server was great. Explained everything to us. The flavors were amazing, it was fun to do the cooking, great atmosphere!! I would definitely recommend! The only thing I didn’t like were the weird pictures on the back wall of legs and women’s bodies – totally didn’t fit the rest of the restaurant vibe. Some better decor on that back wall would be so much better – it was the first thing we saw as we walked in and both of us said WTH!!! (Not that it’s bad artwork, it just doesn’t fit)

Had the most amazing birthday meal here!! We got to Korean fried chicken (wings) and dumplings as starters, and they were both amazing. For our meats we got the boneless short rib, filet mignon, miso cod, and bacon. They were all tasty, I’d HIGHLY recommend the short rib and filet over the cod and bacon! (The cod was quite hard to remove from the grill after cooking it, and the bacon was just a little too heavy for us on top of everything else we were eating). We also had the kimchi fried rice on the side which was great, and the cotton candy dessert was super fun. Will definitely be returning.
