Reviews
Nice selection of veggies and protein. Good options for drinks. The mix your own sauce area was awesome.
Went with work friends and we had a blast.
Cooking your own dinner at the table can either be amazing… or a disaster. Tonight we found out which one it was.
Tonight we checked out Mr. Kimchi Korean BBQ & Hotpot for something a little different — all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ and Hot Pot.
We ordered the All-You-Can-Eat BBQ for $31.99 and added the Hot Pot option for another $5.
First Impressions
Right away the place felt very clean, modern, and spacious. There are three separate dining rooms, a full-service bar, and a large sides bar stocked with fried rice, noodles, spring rolls, sauces, different kimchis, desserts, and even an ice-cream cooler.
One thing that caught my attention when we sat down was the lack of vent hoods above the grills, which made me wonder if it would get smoky. Turns out each table uses a downdraft grill system, and it’s surprisingly quiet so you can actually hold a conversation while cooking your food.
Service
Our waiter was fantastic. Since it was our first time trying Korean BBQ, we told him that up front and he walked us through the entire experience. He was funny, helpful, and checked back on us multiple times to make sure everything was going smoothly.
Great service like that really makes a first-time experience better.
What I Ordered
We tried several of the pre-seasoned meats from the BBQ menu, which made things simple — most of the work is just putting it on the grill and letting it cook. White rice is available by request.
For the hot pot, they offer several broth choices including miso, vegetable, tom yum, and Szechuan. From there you can order different meats, vegetables, and noodles to cook in the broth.
I chose the Szechuan hot pot, which had great flavor and a solid level of heat. The peppercorns and capers definitely wake you up if you bite into one — sometimes a little unexpectedly — but overall it was very flavorful.
Pro Tip
Try grilling the bok choy first before adding it to the hot pot. It adds a really nice flavor.
The quail eggs were also a great addition.
Also be mindful when ordering — there are signs stating they may charge $13.99 for excessive uneaten food, so pace yourself.
My wife and I left absolutely full and happy! $52 before tip for lunch with unlimited desserts and appetizers. Couldn’t be better.
Flavors were fantastic, server was helpful and it was nice and quiet on a weekday at 1pm.
So many options, definitely will be back soon! We drove close to an hour and don’t mind at all!

Update: as of 9/2/2024
We’ve gone several times since they opened, and I will say that the decorations have improved. Therefore, the atmosphere rating has gone up. Additionally, the food selection in terms of sides and sauces has increased. They added Gochujang Paste in the sauce area, Korean Shrimp Chive Pancakes, Fried Chicken, Non-spicy Tteokbokki, Pickled Daikon, and Carrots. Overall, there have only been improvements.

We did korean bbq, everything was great, my girls loved the garlic pork belly.
The price is debatable, I’m 230 lbs and can eat my money’s worth. But my girls are like 4’9″ and 120 lbs and only eat like 10$ worth of food.
So 32$ might be a bit much for the smaller appetites.
But the bonding family experience is great and worthwhile.
They have a great appetizer section with sauces and desserts as well. Overall we had a wonderful time.
