Visiting Mr Keke on December 24, 2025, “ which should be called “The Hidden Gem”felt less like dining out and more like being welcomed into a beautifully curated home where food, warmth, and hospitality take center stage. From the moment you step inside, the presentation and décor immediately set the tone—tasteful, thoughtfully arranged, and effortlessly elegant without feeling pretentious. The space strikes a rare balance: polished yet cozy, refined yet deeply inviting.
The atmosphere is one of Mr Keke’s greatest strengths. There is an undeniable sense of comfort that wraps around you, making it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. Conversations flow naturally, laughter feels encouraged, and the overall energy is friendly and genuine. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, and you find yourself wanting to linger just a little longer.
The food, however, is the true star of the experience. Especially the dumplings! which I learned the owner herself makes from a family recipe directly from china! And trust me you can taste the difference from what other commercial restaurants offer with pre made frozen versions. Each dish arrives perfectly cooked, showcasing skill, consistency, and care in execution. The flavors are confident and well-balanced, suggesting both experience and respect for quality ingredients. Portions are generous, offering excellent value, yet the quality of the food easily could justify an even higher price point , all the dishes are reasonably priced for the quality you are receiving ! Mr Keke delivers a level of craftsmanship that rivals restaurants charging significantly more.
Equally impressive is the service. The owners and staff are not just polite—they are genuinely kind, warm, and attentive. Their presence enhances the experience rather than interrupting it. They check in thoughtfully, anticipate needs, and make every guest feel seen and appreciated. This level of hospitality is increasingly rare and leaves a lasting impression.
In every sense, Mr Keke earns its well-deserved 5-star rating. It is a restaurant that excels not only in food but in creating a complete, heartfelt dining experience. I have attached some photos below, notice how everything fried is a lite golden color and while eating , it does not taste or feel greasy. This is a sign of a well attentively kept clean kitchen which is an attributed to the owners to deliver high-quality food to their guests. You can definitely see and feel how they take pride in their craft.

This is the third time we’ve eaten here and it’s been consistently wonderful. We shared a miso soup and it had nice little onion crunchies in it! The Thai Curry came out boiling hot and stayed warm through the whole meal. It was perfectly spicy and savory. The Glazed Ginger Chicken and Shrimp was flavorful and lovely as well.

Visiting friends in Glen Cove from the city and stumbled across this place. Very impressed with the food – really delicious and reasonably priced. We had lunch specials – string beans and shrimp and mixed vegetables with chicken. Excellent, friendly service. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Glen Cove.
