I’ve had Mr. Hong’s takeout many times and their food is good. I don’t care for their orange chicken but I haven’t had anything else I didn’t like. The service is marginal, the workers never seem to be happy or friendly, but I generally don’t care because it’s only take out Stopped in tonight for something small. What I wanted was some chow mein with the Thai curry chicken on top of it. I wanted it all in a soup container because the Thai curry chicken is sort of like soup. When I explained this to the woman serving, she kept telling me she could only give it to me in one of their large takeout trays. I said I don’t mind if you charge me for that, but it would be messy to eat out of. I would just like it in a smaller takeout container… I pointed to the stacks of opaque white containers that they use for soup. Both of the women behind the counter listened to what I wanted, literally frowned at me, and said, “We don’t do it that way.” Just to clarify, I asked, “You won’t sell me food just because I want it in a different container?” They said yes, so I left. Truly unfortunate. I don’t think I’ll ever go back.

If they don’t have the item you’re looking for, just ask and they will probably make it for ya. I wanted steamed veggies and they made a fresh batch. Well worth waiting the extra 10 minutes!! Awesome

Visiting client in Morgan Hill, stopped by this Chinese fast food place for lunch.

Ordered combo with 2 entrees with mushroom and string bean chicken, and shout soup. Entrees has good amount of ingredient and doesn’t taste with MSG.

No wait I line although came in during lunch hour.

It happened, I finally found a place that serves Chinese fast food other than Panda Express. I guess Panda Express and Mr. Hong’s aren’t really Chinese food, it’s what Americans call Chinese food. It’s like my dog’s name is Moose and that’s what I call him, but he will never actually be a moose. I wonder if there’s a lot of restaurants in China that serve American food? I guess those places would be considered Chinese American food. Anyways, there are a lot of places in Morgan Hill that serve American Chinese food, but not fast. I don’t know why it took me so long to find Mr. Hong’s. I had driven by it so many times and they were as transparent as possible. They even say “Fast Food” on their sign. I appreciate that, I feel like most fast food chains try to hide the fact that they’re fast food or at least don’t advertise it. I’d be surprised if McDonald’s or Taco Bell ever put “fast food” right under their name. I like that Mr. Hong’s doesn’t try to hide their identity and just accepts who they are. For the low price, large portion sizes, and quality for fast food standards this place is a 5/5 for me.

Delicious, not too greasy, but flavorful. The Kung pao prawns are sooooo good, and the vegetables are so fresh.

Just got the 3 entree combination plate and got sweet&sour pork, orange chicken and teriyaki chicken with half fried rice and half chow mein plus 4 chicken egg rolls. It is delicious. I can only give 5 stars. If I could I’d give 10.

BUYERS BEWARE

Go there for take-out. 3 entree plate.

Middle aged lady at the counter, in her 50s always skimps out on portions.

SOMETIMES I get a decent amount of food, a good deal. But when the aforementioned lady is there, she always puts a small portion on my plate.

The food is good, but the inconsistency makes me re think this spot when I want something to eat.

Do not recommend this spot at all. Especially when that lady is there
