I was in town for business and I went to a area for Italian food but there wasn’t any parking so I was going back to my hotel when I saw this place. I went inside and was looking at the menu unable to decide right away so they kept telling me to just get a burger. the cook in the kitchen kept yelling at me in Spanish to ” hurry up and order” multiple times… being from Casa Grande az my go to is carne asada burro..this burro costed $17 and it was the size of my palm……it looked/ tasted like everything was out of a container……the jaimaca was the best I’ve had in years and the decor was amazing. next time I’m in town I’ll just go for pizza…

This is my first time , I am not from here , so I asked many clients who live here and those who lived here most of their life … what is one of the best mexican food places, some said here and others did not … I like to give it a try always … and I ordered the carne asada plate was just OK, it was a little dry , they use not the good quality meat thats is one issue I have … rice is ok and beans ok also… but it had taste of tex-mex food to me,nothing for me to want to say that Id like to return right away ..good staff

Everytime I drive passed Yuma I have to stop to eat here. I plan ahead to stop and enjoy their delicious food. Daily made tortillas can’t go wrong with that. I’ve had the chicken enchiladas, carne asada burrito, chile con carne (verde). All delicious. Lots of space and service is always great. I love that mural on the wall lots of history.

Great food priced a bit on the high side. They have great salsa I loved the green sauce it had the right amount of heat. Red sauce had less heat but great if that’s what you like.
I’ve had the bowl, quesadilla, and the tacos.
The service is great and traditional nothing special. The atmosphere is clean and seating is great with options.
-1 the fountain didn’t have ice or wasn’t working.

Okay, but not as good as the hype.
I had cheese enchiladas with calabecitas and refried beans. Now, I LOVE onions. But these enchiladas had WAY too much onions on the inside, even for me. Not easy to remove, so they should really be more careful with that. The enchilada sauce was excellent, and so were the beans. The calabecitas were almost raw, not worth eating. The chips were fantastic. So, very hit and miss.
The service—they took my order promptly but then it took 27 minutes to get my food. Understandable if the place was packed, but it was half-empty. Not what you should expect from a fast-food-style restaurant.
The atmosphere is great though. Clean, bright, spacious and fun!

I didn’t eat there. I wanted to. I ordered 4 bean and cheese burritos and was told the wait was 45 minutes. Yikes! Their food is good, but they are super slow. If you plan on eating here, treat it like Red Lobster or similar sit-down restaurant. You can’t eat here on your lunch break.

We went to Mr. G Drive-In’s in Arizona while traveling. I got a carne con chile burrito with added rice for $5.19. Instead of the usual thin beef, they used thick chunks, which was surprising but okay. It tasted more like a birria burrito. It was smaller than what I’m used to, but for the price, it was good. The carne asada taco was decent and came with avocado, pico, beans, and radish slices for $3.99. The beef hardshell taco was small too, also $3.99. The horchata water was refreshing for $4.49. The salsas were too watery for my liking, and there wasn’t a salsa bar. Overall, the food was tasty, but I’ve had better. It’s okay for a “Mexican” restaurant in Arizona.

This place has gone down hill over the years. Very Disappointing.
I recently ordered a Carne Asada Burrito. It was pretty pathetic. Small amount of Carne Asada, not much flavor, over cooked, and the burrito was small. The hot sauce wasn’t very spicy and barely has flavor.
I posted a photo of it opened as is.
Also had the chicken enchiladas, nothing special.
The rice was decent.
Two orders of enchiladas, a carne asada burrito, and 2 large drinks. $55
With so much competion, why is this place still busy? Because the evidence doesn’t support Great Mexican Food.

My first time eating inside, usually I drive through. I ordered the chorizo egg plate with potatoes and beans. I was told that it will be a while before I receive my food. I was ok with that, wait was less than ten minutes. Since I had to wait for my food, why was the food closed to being cold. The food was almost warm, even the chorizo and eggs. But the potatoes tasted great, would have been better hot. When paying there an option to leave a tip, I have no problem leaving a tip. I left a tip, but the service doesn’t deserve a tip, had to get my own coffee. They did serve my food, but that is all. Do not know if I will come back and eat inside. If I do and my food is the same I will complain and request my money back.
