AMAZING! I had calamari but also tried their fish and shrimp. Their fries are to die for! Best fries I’ve had in the US for sure. Calamari was delicious, fish was fantastic, shrimp was great. Customer service was excellent. I’ll for sure miss this place once I leave, but that won’t be the last time I go there! I’ll definitely come back when I’m in PA again. I recommend this place ON GOD!
Must get their Mr Friez Sauce 😉 it’s delicious

I was really excited to try Mr. Friez on Butler Street, especially after visiting Belgium and loving that style of fries with lots of dipping sauces. Unfortunately, this place fell a bit short for me. The fries themselves were good and crispy, but you only get one dipping sauce included, and each additional sauce is an extra $1.50, which adds up quickly. I also felt that the fries were a bit overpriced overall—my single order of regular fries plus an extra sauce ended up being close to $12. So while the fries were tasty, the pricing and the extra charges for sauces took away from the experience for me.

Immediately greeted and I commented how the restaurant was new to the area and I wasn’t sure what to purchase. The server/cook told me to try the chicken tender and fries. Now that sounds basic, right? Well that wasn’t how it went down. The chicken tenders LOOKED crispy, like it was extra breaded less chicken. I was wrong the chicken is tender and the breading lightly coated and slightly crunchy with curry lining. Absolutely fire. Going back to try more of the sauces but the yellow curry sauce was my favorite SO FAR

Excellent service and even better fries! They are that good! Not sure what oil is used but they might be the best fry I’ve ever had! Tons of options/sauces-we went with the truffle! They have a small and a jumbo option. Open late with indoor seating! Highly recommend!

You hit the corner of the block. The smell of delicious fries hits you in the face. You walk in at 2am and it’s pure chaos. You go up to order, server was nice and straight to the point. Got Tenders and Fries. A little pricey BUT no joke these were the best Tenders and fries I’ve had in a really long time. Had ketchup and BBQ on side. Didn’t try other sauces. Got the food surprisingly quick. 10/10 for sure 100% going back.

The calamari and chips are very good for being just a small business. We were working in the area and had to stop there for lunch both days. I wish they had tenders and chips available but the sauces for all the fries are all exotic and good.

Lovely spot! Fries are gluten free, including a dedicated fryer to prevent cross contamination with other fried items. Staff are friendly, fries delicious and the space is very clean.

Mr. Friez just opened on Butler Street in Lawrenceville, serving hot, fresh Belgian fries that are in a league of their own. A true Belgian fry is double-fried in animal fat—first at a lower temperature, cooled, then fried again at high heat just before serving—resulting in the crispiest, most addictive fries you’ve ever had.
Beyond the fries, the menu is loaded with hearty “& chips” meals: fish & chips, calamari & chips, shrimp & chips, and chicken fingers & chips. But whatever you do, do not skip the sauces. From truffle mayo to habanero mango, smoked eggplant, yellow curry, Andalouse, and their signature Mr. Friez sauce—there’s a dip for every mood and craving.
Even better? They’re open until 11 PM on weeknights and 3 AM on weekends—making it the ultimate late-night snack stop. Lawrenceville’s newest spud has officially sprouted, and we’re here for it.
