We have been to NOLA many times but this was our first time trying Mr. Ed’s. The restaurant was fairly empty with just one more table what’s diners since it was just before dinner rush. The menu is the typical Creole and Cajun food. The service was attentive and friendly. My daughter wanted her pasta and sauce a specific way which they accommodated. I don’t know what they mix their crab cake with but the flavor is not like the traditional one you would find in New England area which I prefer. Overall food was good, but portion and price I felt didn’t have the same value as other similar places.

Stayed at the Wyndham and received a $15 voucher for Mr. Ed’s. So glad we went-the food was delicious! My fish Poboy was fried too perfection and the bread was delicate & yummy. My husband had the Cajun pasta and loved it too. I think our favorite thing though was the Cajun eggrolls! I had never heard of such a thing, but I’m so glad my husband wanted to try them because they were so good!! Highly recommend you try them! Our waitress was kind and the service was fast.

I’ve never had the charbroiled oysters and hubby’s friend recommended Mr. Ed’s. Would definitely go back for them! Also got recommended to go to Acme but glad we went to this one instead. Impressed by all the food – charbroiled oysters, shrimp and grits, and redfish topped with shrimp – so delicious! Shoutout to Dawnn for being sweet and attentive. Ate lunch here and enjoyed the Cajun menu, in a casual retro dining ambiance. My party had the red beans/rice dish which was way more flavorful than I’d ever imagine., so it’s a “must try” since it’s a staple of Cajun Creole cuisine. The wedge salad was large portion with a robust flavor in the blue cheese dressing. MrEd’s also has a large dining space, clean bathrooms and a vintage cigarette machine adds to the charm. A great lunch/dinner spot in the heart of the French Quarter!

We got the Louisiana crayfish bread and charcoal broiled oysters. The bread was kind of cold but honestly it tasted so good that it was fine. The oysters were like crunchy, like sand or just too burnt. We weren’t fans at all. Presentation was 10/10

This is the place to go if you’re looking for that combination of dive bar, seafood spot with some of the best crawfish in town in my opinion. We ate here later on in the evening since we got in town a bit later than planned, after we arrived in town and wanted to walk around looking for a spot we decided this was the spot. The drinks were awesome and fair priced, the oysters were fresh and delicious, the crawfish were seasoned to perfection, so good I ordered more since I was in the mood to keep drinking. This is the spot if you are staying anywhere close to get your belly full of delicious food.

Mr. Ed’s Seafood on Bienville was hands-down the best food we had in New Orleans. So good that we went back twice for dinner during our trip — and that says everything.
The staff truly makes this place special. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family. Sitting at the bar is a must — it’s the best seat in the house to meet the incredible team. Lonnie, Michael, and Brittany were all warm, attentive, and genuinely fun, and there was a beautiful waitress who looked just like Sandra (I wish I remembered her name!) who was equally wonderful. Honestly, every single person we interacted with was fantastic.
And the food? Absolutely outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, and prepared to perfection. Watching Chad shuck oysters right in front of you was both entertaining and impressive — and those oysters were phenomenal.
If you’re visiting New Orleans, don’t miss Mr. Ed’s on Bienville Street. Great food, great people, and an atmosphere that keeps you coming back. We’ll be back without question

Party of five, New Years Dau, before the Sugar Bowl, for lunch, the wait was only about 30 minutes. Service was not perfect, the kitchen seemed to be two steps behind, but the waitstaff did the best they could. Food was delicious, what ever got prepared first in the kitchen came out hot and steamy, especially the chargrilled oysters (which were brought to the table last). We will definitely return on a less hectic occasion!

Mr. Ed’s was pretty good. Didn’t like the jambalaya, it had a weird wet texture. Red fish was good. Not sure about the stuffing. It was a bit mushy. Nachos were number 1. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. My sister had gumbo that she loved.
