Great place. It’s bigger inside than it appears from outside. Service was great both times we went. Food came out right away and “oh boy!!!” It was outstanding!!! Very reasonably priced. Great beer choices. We plan on going here several times. Hope you’re around forever.

If you like German food this is a good place to go. We have been going there off and on for about 10 years now. The last time we were there they seemed to only have one server and they were really busy. It took a little extra time but she did a good job.

How cool? A little Germany right by the beach. You don’t have to catch a flight and travel 14 hours to grab your favorite German snacks. I love coming here. It’s nostalgic and truly authentic. Food is incredible and the ambience is exactly what you want! I almost forgot I’m in Daytona beach and not in Europe. Been coming here for years and I shall continue.

I was really disappointed with the prices and the food portions. If someone is paying that much money for a sandwich, I feel it should be worth it! When the sandwich arrived there really wasn’t much meat on it- and the bread slices were small! German potato salad arrived in a tiny condiment type of bowl.. and costed like $3 extra dollars just to add it on! Very disappointed.. the service was good, the food is way overpriced. I do appreciate the nostalgic of the place though! Thanks!

We tried the Jägerschnitzel at Mr. Dunderbak’s in Daytona — easily the strangest version we’ve had. They used au jus instead of the classic brown gravy, and the portion was tiny for the price. Only the great server saved the experience.

Incredible beer selections. Great sandwiches. Counter seated service was fast and friendly. Brought back memories of my younger self working at a department store in a Tampa Bay Area Mall and enjoying another version of this unique restaurant and pub on my lunch or dinner break.

This is a very cool spot and a great place to get a wide variety of European beers, with German beers naturally being the specialty.
It is strange that it resides in one of those malls that has seen better days, but Mr. Dunderbak’s still brings in the crowds with the bar and restaurant style seating being relatively full when I visited.
I went for the Jaeger Schnitzel. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was burned to a crisp and this made it quite inedible. However, the sharp servers noticed my displeasure and took it off my check and offered me a free dessert, leaving me to only have to pay for the beers. This was very kind, and after still partaking of the excellent German potato salad and house salad, I wasn’t hungry enough to try anything else. Most patrons were having sandwiches like Reuben’s or corned beef and when I return, I will go this route.
I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and beer selection and what makes this establishment really great are its people: the excellent servers and cool patrons that make it a fun time to visit and hang. Highly recommended.

Really cool hole in the wall find in a dead mall. We ordered Der New Yorker, a Schnitzel sandwich, and a couple Cajun Dutchman sandwiches. We will be back as soon as we can! Worth the hour drive for certain. ♥️
